Has anyone picked up the minis or played a game? I've gotten the bug for it something terrible, with 1.5k of Solar Aux and Death Guard, respectively. The vehicle minis are absolutely fantastic, and I've really enjoyed the one game of it I've gotten in so far. It hits all my hobby buttons for 40k; being able to run proper combined armed forces, actually fielding tanks in company strength, being able to own Titans and Thunderhawks without selling organs, etc. My only complaint is that they've bungled the release by having extremely limited model availability, and by holding back a bunch of necessary stuff (AA, artillery) for a second wave release with a supplement in a few weeks.

A friend of mine is absolutely obsessed with this atm.
I really would love to join in the hype but I have enough grey plastic in my wardrobe to sink a battleship!
Good luck with your project though.

Got my second game in. I was too caught up in murder to take pictures but this is one my opponent snapped.

I am very tempted by Legions Imperialis for the same reasons, and I recall seeing a game of epic waaay back in the days of old (95 or something) which really made me want to explore the world of 40k, (I'd picked up Rogue trader a few years previously and had a smattering of space marines by this point) I remember seeing the titans towering above everything else and have wanted to play ever since!
The local game store had a game running recently and it looked fantastic, the thunderhawk model shined out as a great model and the opposing player had a company of baneblades!
It was great seeing an flying transport delivering units deep into the territory, something that just isn't really viable on 40k scale (by which I mean the battlefield is too small for an aircraft to be neccasary, nor is it needed to be modelled as most units that would have one can deep strike into position without the need for a physical representation of what they travelled in).
Keep the pictures and posts coming as I'm keen to see how your force develops!
Any chance of a close up on the stuff you've painted?

The thunderhawk model is excellent, and also absolutely massive. The increase in scale does actually make combined arms combat viable and important, rather than just trying to shove a half a company into a platoon-sized frontage like in normal 40k. Here's a poorly lit shot of some of my armor and infantry. By the end of the month I should have 12 Russes, 12 Malcadors, 4 Baneblade variants, 2 Marauders, 2 Thunderbolts, 12 Sentinels, 24 stands of lasrifles, 12 stands of Ogryn, 12 stands of Flamers, and 12 stands of Solar Aux.
