Currently planning to proxy some Wargame Atlantics Les Grognards for the infantry… with a Cadian Castellan or something for the commanding officer to sort of fit my fluff. I’ve been collecting mini’s for 10+ years letting them stack up because I love the lore and wargaming… just haven’t believed in my abilities to paint until recently. So now I just have to put everything together and get to painting! |

Painting can seem daunting at first but once you’re in the habit it becomes second nature!

Looks like you've nailed the basics!
Base colour, Wash and Drybrush!
Don't worry about the paintwork too much, keep it basic while you develop and when your skills improve you can revisit the older stuff and add the fine details then, for the most part a bit of colour is all that's needed from a distance and save the difficult detail stuff for your centre piece hero model! (that said, I still avoid details and mainly make 'tabletop' standard stuff unless I have the time available and a bucket load of motivation!)

Primed some infantry and another Chimera. I appreciate the positive feedback. I'm still digging through some old boxes and found a bunch of old minis. So far I found a few boxes of old Cadians, some Orks and a box of Tau fire warriors... I had some strange ideas back in the day! Anyways, I'll probably bounce between the different minis to practice painting and trying new camo schemes and painting different kinds of models. Don't be surprised if you see some other whacky things on here!   |
