Hi, does anybody think it would be feasible/possible to run a Mech infantry list at 1000 points? I wana do Mech infantry unit as the core of my force but am just sort of starting out.
With that said, would it be feasible to start with that idea in mind or should I focus on more infantry, tanks and arty and bring the transports in once I start getting to bigger points level games?
Thanks!

I've not played the current edition. But the few games I played in 9th edition, I played with 1k or 750pts mech guard and it did well.
At lower points levels people generally don't have a ton of anti-tank firepower. So if you have a bunch of russes and chimeras on the table a large part of their army is going to have to fish for sixes in order to do damage. You then have to use your mobility to focus down their anti-tank and theb hopefully you have enough forces left to mop up and claim objectives.
It becomes a problem at higher points levels where people are more likely to bring knights and superheavies. At that point people are fielding lists that can delete a knight per turn, and our tanks don't really do well in thay environment.
Now, again I've not played 10th and I heard our tanks are in a good spot. So maybe the 2nd scenario is no longer that big of an issue for us, but I somewhat doubt it. I also don't know what the state of vehicles in melee is this edition. So that might be a problem if you play 1k on a smallish table.
But generally, overloading your enemy with a certain type of target is a solid tactic at lower levels.
