I want to start collecting a new army, now I have 2 guidelines. They have to be within the Alliance rules for Apocolypse, so I cant have like Chaos fighting with my Imperial Guard. I think I have Eldar and Tau and all other Imperial Armies [Space Marines, Deamon Hunters, Witch Hunters ]
Im just wondering what peoples views are on these armies.
I know Tau and Eldar are a stepa way from the Loyal Imperium but I will always fight for the Emperor first and then whatever second

Best chances for a short alliance have the Eldar. They want to get rid of the Chaos as well, while the Tau barely know the Chaos. So the aims of the Eldar and the Imperium are somewhat similar. Oh and Azalar my IG will be fighting with CSM in Apocalypse

Ahh, you see Knight, Loyalist ImpGuard cannot fight with Chaos Space Marines in Apoc, due to them being mortal enemies, THOUGH!! Traitor Guard are close allies with CSM

If you look at the chart in the appendix you will see that while there is a hatred between loyalist guard and chaos so long as you have a good story for why the two are allied together then the apocalypse rules will allow for it. i would figure that they were fighting against each other over an artifact and a common enemy showed up in force, that neither alone would be able to defeat, would be reason fro the two to ally for a brief moment until they had defeated the common foe (e.g. 3K chaos vs 3 K guards fighting then ally against 6K nid). Battle field alliances occur all the time.

Yes, but to be honest, I dont think its very fluffy. in my opinion I could understand Tau and Eldar allying with ImpGuard or Space Marines. but not Chaos or Dark Eldar

Ohhh don't think I don't agree with you. It would be something completely out of the ordinary and there would be many formal inquisitions to find out why a loyal guard army allied itself with the chaos army. Quite possibly they would have signed their own death sentence in doing so by inquisitorial standards that they are now tainted and should be purged, but for apocalypse it would be a reason why the two actually allied on th battle field.
My own feelings would be to ally with the the inquisition itself or the SOB. Imagine the devestation of 6 exorcists and 6 immolators with a battery of 12 Basilisks and another 12 Leman russ battle tanks.

For Apoco. there is no FOC, so I can have 10 leman russes if I want.
But I was thinking about making a Deamon Hunters army, becuase they have a kool fluff story and such as.
And a Force of Grey Knights backed up by 2.5K Imperial Guard seems preeeeeety Cool

Well my story for them is that my Apoc regiment was never part of the Imperium. The Word Bearers created that force with the help of cultists. So you could say that they're really similar to the Blood Pact. Just that I use the doctrine system for them since I don't like the traitor lists. And we all know that IG can be used on both sides of the table

knight that would basicly be a trader guard unit.
Never liked the doctrines myself. Too many points to pay out for my liking.

No ssgtdude. Traitor Guard would be a unit that was once Imperial Guard and went over to Chaos. But a force created by some Chaos Lord wouldn't be traitorous since they were never really part of the Empire.

So they would be heretic guard then? Or how about forsaken guard.

I think heretic guard would be a good expression or chaos/renegade militia/guard

regardless of what you would call them. Created by the chaos marines, or inducted into service, or even taken from a chaos world. to any loyalest to the Imperium they would still be viewed as traitors to the emperor. I do like the idea of such a unit and think that they would work well together.

They would be Loyal Guard, Just Loyal to an the Chaos Gods.
Orks and IG, with the Orks painted like IG.
Or Tau and IG with Tau in IG coloured Armour, that would be Kool.

The imperial armour rules are kinda cool for this, as IG rules don't really convey the 'feel' of the renegade guard fluff.

I would happily switch sides if it meant I could take D6 attack feel no pain Ogryns, laspistol+ ccw armed conscripts and better psykers. As it is, I can't afford to shell out £40+ for the privildge, so meh
