An inexpensive appocolypse army?
Deus Imperator Victus The God-Emperor In Flesh The single model thats worth 5000 points.
Hows that for a preheresy Appocolypse battle.
Just use the rules for an imperator titan model it as a converted terminator on a huge base covered in blown up tanks and shredded corpses and your good ;D

LoL, cadian. My buddy has 1500 points of just carnifex's...spooky...
I was planning on taking a ton of grey knights to help with my guard, and alot of inquisitorial stormtroopers.

A friend already fields an almost all-genestealer army (90 of the rending bastards) He was Apoc-cool before there was Apoc with 9,000+ points of bugs... Can't wait to match him points-wise with Inquisitorial Grey Knight Daemonhunters with Inducted IG allies... (we are getting a little fuzzy with the force org rules, it being friendly games and all, right? ?) ;D

Fielding the Emperor and his primarchs. Up yours, Chaos! That'd really hurt. I wouldn't rule out fielding primarchs, later on. There's still some left, remember? Sweetness. I'd just pile in more IG. 5000 points of foot troops. That'd really hurt for them.

Yes...5 grand of conscripts, thats gonna hurt. LoL. I can see it now some where around 3000 flashlights go off at once turning the CSM into a bunch of blind, toasted weirdos.

5000 pts
hmmmmmm
90 x 5 man vet squads with missile launchers. thats 450 men and 90 ML's that have a good chance of hitting something, and you have to kill off 5 men to destroy each ML.

Mardaddy.. Apocalypse doesn't follow force organization. You got it you field it. simple as that.
My guard after tomorrow when I get my hands on that plastic baneblade that is waiting up at the store will be up to almost 4000+ points. If I add in a few more sentinels (Want that new boxed set) and a couple more Rough Riders. The girls in pink will be an Apoc force to be reckoned with.
Not to mention I have in the works to either buy or build a war Hound titan.

Horus, Angron, Night Haunter, Perturabo, Mortarion, Typhus, Abbadon, Lucius the Eternal, Kharn the Betrayer, Fulgrim, Magnus the Red, Ahriman, Lorgar, Erebos, and Alpharius ;D I wonder how many points would each of them. Too bad that there aren't any rules for all the Primarchs and Horus, just for Kharn, Lucius, Ahriman, and Typhus...

go to Bolter and chainsword they have an area where they worked out rules for all the primarchs or at least most of them. They're pretty awesomely OP. They also have daemon prince versions of the chaos primarchs if memory serves.
