The majority of armies are emperial tho, SM, IG, sisters, GK. Am a bit disappointed no playable tyranids tho. Looks good

yeah ive played that one and its really good. alot of the models are excellent although im still turned off when i see a defiler or dreadnaught as one of the big bugs.
its hard to beat them on the more difficult settings

actually its still a stand alone game in a way, you only need to buy the previous games for online multiplayer to be able to play other races, looks sweet

As a hard core DOW player this might be interesting although despite the awesomeness of DC i was dissapointed a little when i realised the open campaign killed all the inticate RTS storyline (that and it capped everything)the first one had but the tau and necrons were worth the loss. in SoulStorm i think it will be the gameplay being more positive then the races. Dark eldar are cool but as of now the models look too... non dark, I wish they were darker looking. The SOBs look good, but are they really neccessary in Game one?
I'd have put them w/ Tyranids in 2 and put in another race, i dont know who but something, Chaos Guard would be interesting, or give the IG a trenchcoat guard with another tech tree and have them as opposing Regiments, One backing one side one the other(the guard as is are only decent.The one good thing about this is the new units that will be made for existing races.

OMG well I think its my duty to tell you guys (like I did on gamespot under my alias of cheeseboy666) that the developers have stated MANY times that they dont wanna do the tyranids cause the DOW wngine dosnt do them justice. They wanna wait till they come out with DOW 2

Actually thier doing another meta-map campaign thing, only with more planets, and you get to play as all nine races like in Dark Crusade, and apperantly the addition of space battle as well (Im not sure about the latter)

i hope the flyers are like timed things sort of like in Command & Counquer generals. you know you just call them in they do a bombing run and then leave instead of staying around the entire time. because think of it. a key part of 40k is terrain you get a craft that can just hover over some impassible terrain as it blows your units to hell is just bs.

I agree just like in Company Of Heroes where its like a special power that you could requisition at your base. makes SO much more sense, and really, it would be really stupid to have thunderhawks and Falcons just floating in the sky like in Starcraft. That would really take away from the realism

Though if valkyries and vultures were hoverers, it would make sense. You could have a max of 2-3 of them, and give them really ligh armour. But the other flyers would look damn stupid hovering. Make it like the old command and conquer abiltiy were you called in a napalm strike.
And deepstriking guardsmen!
