Just wondering but an ogryn has a 5+ Save but when you upgrade to a Bone 'ead it says you have acsess to the armoury so can Bone 'eads take carpace armour! Also is it worth putting my ogryns in a chimera or leaving them o foot! Please respond Thanks!

Although it would be cool if ogryns could take the 'carapace armour doctrine....

As others have already said. Yes, the Bone 'ead can take carapace armor.
As for the Chimera you have to consider one thing. Is the point difference of having a full squad of ten versus 6 in a chimera worth it?
I run ten girls in my Ogryn squad due to the over whelming attacks in hth combat. The girls in pink really know how to fight.

however its extremely broken how the ogryns are right now. your paying a rediculous amounts of points for something that most weapons will just blow a hole through and the fact that they still have flack armour is just pathetic. it there wounded you might as well just throw them away. you will never see ogryns in my army.

they have 3 wounds! when you've got that you don't care about the bloody armour save's! i love orgy's! i can't wait to get some (though the fact that they cost 10 pounds each is rediculous)!

You could try converting them, there's something on the US website about converting them from Ogres....
Or buy renegade ogryn bezerkers and use them as standard ogryns....

3 wounds wont last forever especially when you got plenty of weapons out there that wound an ogryn in a heart beat. to me there just not a viable option unless they can get something a little bet better in the armour department. at least a 4+

I see space puppies point in this. Sure three wounds don't last forever, and any weapon that is strength 8 or higher instant kills them, but hey... When I march my ten girls across the battlefield and they soak up more damage than what would normally be thrown at a unit because someone has done the math to realize that my girls will completely tear through a squad of tac marines in a single round and then still be smelling fresh as daisy's should they not do something while they can. Hidden powerfists be damned. CHances are that power fist is not going to have a chance to do anything when I have over 30 attacks coming in on the charge.
For my army the girls work and work well for what I use them as. RIpping apart bike squads that hit my lines, Eldar are a bit tougher in HtH, but the girls do fair against them as well. Not to mention that they can hold up larger opponents big things for a few rounds as well.
It is all in how you use them and what the mission of the game is.
