I only have 1, atm it has a multilazer on it, cos I wanted to build a standard one first before thinking about conversions.
I like multi lazers any way and there aren't many units that can take them. Ain't quite as good as an edlar scatter lazer, but not bad.

I've got one multilaser/heavy bolter and one multilaser/heavy flamer to remind me that the grenadier squad inside has a flamer in it (and because the squad will need to get up close anyway so why not use a heavy flamer - another rare weapon in the guard!).

I like the Multi-laser, I prefer the Strength against Marines(My friends play Chaos and Necron) because the AP on the HB is moot against SV 3+.

Your right tho, agasint 3+ saves, Hbolters and Autocannons loose some effectiveness, so go for the highest strength you can get. they do look cool too, and I like taking IG only weapons.

I`ve got an autocannon on mine. I`ve used the predator turret rather than the forge world one. In my opinion it makes the tank look more modern (I`ve used the autocannon solely because it looks good). I`ll post a picture when I`ve finished painting it.

autocannons are good, to be sure, and really enhance the light tank feel of the chimera. makes them superb at sniping too with the awesome range of the gun.

i'dgo for the twin linked heavy bolter as the turret, plus the hull mounted heavy bolter and mebe a heavy stubber upgrade can really do some damage, esp agenst nids, kroot and orks

Autocannon and a heavyh bolter are a good good mix as theyre both multishot and are good against ifantry/light veichles as well as overcoming the guards average shooting. Tooling the armoured fist squad with plasma or meltagun can give you a punch against heavy armour:all in all a well balanced squad

So a armoured fist squad combines rapid deployment and fast moving strikes, with medium armoured and infantry weapons, packing in a nice surprise for any unwary tank
