There is only one Ork tactic RUSH FORWARD INTO CLOSE COMBAT AS FAST AS POSSIBLE.

i dissagree, there are alot more than jsut that, although all tactics are aimed at getting into CC there are different ways to accomplish that.

Yup there sure are..
Use grots as a screener unit, with sluggs boys and nobz behind them, couple of trukk boys to cover a flank, while you also have the biker boyz covering the other flank.. make sure that your Warboss and his retinue are 'ard enough to handle being shot at while also being good in close combat.. and yes move forward.. but do so at multiple angles..
Also the release list has been leaked.. Orks are due to be released end of Dec and January for the majority of their new models.. so end of this year we can expect a new codex.. should be interesting to see how much love they will get and how the new codex will turn out for them.. over 10 yrs since the last one was made.. there had better be some nice improvements to it..

RUSH FORWARD INTO CLOSE COMBAT AS FAST AS POSSIBLE. That was a bit vaque i guess, my uderstanding of the rules though is that you can no longer shield models (AKA Grots only purpose). I had a brief venture with orks and while they are fun to play i found that general orks are safer advancing in cover opposed to using wartuks which seem to be fire magnets.

Always give the opponent multiple fire magnets.. he cant take them all down.. and the Warboss trukk with a big mek and force field on it.. is a very scary trukk indeed.. it can be out in the open and still get the hull down 4+ chance.. add some grots to the rigging and even if imobilized you will still keep going on another 4+ per turn even Something to think about ... the only time orks and tactics are in the same sentance is when there is a big "don't do" in between the two words. the orks only tactic is RUSH EAD ON TOWARDZ DA UMIES WILE MAKIN AZ MUCH NOIZ AZ POSSIBLE!!!!!!!! LET THE WAAAAGH BEGIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

there is something wrong with that thinking.. considering that fact that most players who think like that and play orks find out really fast that it doesn't exactly work... rushing head on = death 10/10 times.. now rushing from the flanks, behind, and head on.. thats a different matter altogether.. well i guess you dont get that with the more cunning ork warbosses, you sometimes get them using gretchin hordes to direct enemy fire from the bigger boyz.

Also, the key to killing orks is to use a few hellhounds.
