well most of them are still in sprues, too The armor is the 'Warpstone Armour' so it's made from Warpstone (some mix between metal and mineral I guess) Boltgun Metal -> loads of Dark Green Ink -> highlight with Chainmail -> the glyphs on the armour are with Shining Gold Same is for the weapon, just that the wooden grip is (was) Chaos Black with an extreme highlight with Codex Grey over that a light highlight with with Fortress Grey and as finishing touch some small stripes with Skull White. The rags are the same paint scheme as the skin of my Clan Rats will be. Vermin Brown -> highlight with Snakebite Leather -> highlight with Vomit Brown The coat is Graveyard Earth -> highlight Kommando Khaki -> highlight Bleached Bone Fur and Nose/Eyepatch: Fur is Chaos Black -> Codex Gray -> Fortress Gray (looks in reality a bit bluish, but don't know why... ) Flesh is just a bit more grey The nose and the eyepatch are both Dark Flesh and the eyepatch got a Blood Red highlight on the edges

Many Dwarves and Goblins to kill we have this year, yes-yes! *squeak, squeak, giggle*
I think most of the players this year will play Dwarves or Night Goblins just because many got the new starter set nad I really have to admit that the minis from the starter set look nice... ;D

i have to agree they are just damn brilliant compared to previous years.. plus the conversion ideas alone ( i have seen many a thread on turning the BFSP boxset into a chaos dwarf army with much success )...
but yeah 4 half boxsets have only cost me less than 200 CAD tax included and I now have well over 2000 points with it.. not a bad deal at all..

Yes but you have to balance it out after the boxed set. I added a gyrocoptor for a more manouverable and speedier. and you got to love the steam cannon.

Dwarven shooty stuff has one big drawback it doesn't explode so nice and spectecular as Skaven shooty stuff ;D And who needs speed if your slowest one can still move 5" a turn...

i hear you on the fact that you still need to balance it out.. but when you think that for 4 boxsets of goblins i have enough infantry now to choke a horse with its pretty damn good bargin.. considering that if you bought the new regiment boxsets I would only have 60 models instead of over 250... I have added a giant, looted 2 dwarf cannons, and the pony/carriage.. looking for more ponies to make a chariot.. and the netters will be represented by captured dwarves.. with fanatics yet to be decided on how those will be created.. probably will just take part of the dwarf hedge with chains and attach them to modded goblins.. can really stretch this boxset if you really try.. its scary how convertable it truely is.. my goblin force currently consists of.. 160 goblins with spears/hand weapons, 80 archers, 30 spider riders, 3 trolls, 6 characters, 2 spear chukkas, single pony drawn chariot, and a giant total cost to make.. 250 CAD.. points are in the 4000 range if done up right.. and I still need to convert the fanatics.. Very large horde army on the cheap.. and who cares if it doesnt do too well.. goblins are more of a fun army anyways.. and its like playing guard.. you are expected to lose, but if you win then you can laugh at how bad the other player is cheers Gris

I say this year there will be a tonne of goblins as most wanted to swap dwarfs for goobos but I always go for the good side in things.

[Chaos Space Marine voice] Oh the bad boys of then have some nice stuff, too, yes-yes *squeak* [/Chaos Space Marine voice] Imperial Guard is nice, but the Night Lords are also a nice force if you like fast attacks and using fear as a weapon... But imho all the Fantasy minis of the good forces look either crappy or nearly everyone is playing them (Woodelves)... And some of the Skaven are just too cute

I agree that most of the good guys are too stale and it takes a bit more creativity to get them to look original.. however the amount of effort to make them look different falls flat at times and you just end up with a ton of cookie cutter armies.. Saw 3 games of fantasy happen this weekend while I played 40k.. empire vs chaos, empire vs wood elves, empire vs wood elves.. all happening at the same time as well.. the worst part.. color schemes were yellow/blue, yellow/black, black/red... they all tied into each other quite easily here.. was sad.. and the 2 wood elf players could have just had one force since they were painted basic wood elf generic colors.. give me evil, give me easily unrecognizable armies that dont take too long to convert, encourage it to be done, and can be done to make it unique unlike the good guys.. ogres, goblins ( ok still generic but tons of converting opportunities with war machines and into regiment squabling.. ) and of course chaos ( any and all ) come to mind.. skaven.. meh.. who really players skaven these days jk knight.. these guys have huge possibilities to be converted as well since they are so abundant in one army but also so rarely played.. just my 2 cents.. oh and my ogre army has a Leadbelcher added to the ranks almost ( needs paint ), as well as a butcher WIP that is halfway done in regards to sculpting.. Cheers Gris

Slap giantslayer on my tyrant.. hunt down your giant.. throw him on the slaverats.. then let the bulls and ironguts have their way with the stormvermin and the butchers to take care of the plaguemonks ( immune to poison .. only buggers able to stomach those blighters.. )..
And just for kicks.. throw in a couple of gorgers to run amuck among the grey seers and artillery..
Crash stomp kill.. eat the remains.. cough up the hair ball that will accumalate from all the rats..
Cheers Gris
