Not bad. Veterens? I prefer stromtroopers, but each to his own. You seem to have plenty of anti-armour and anti-personnel firepower. Have you taken any doctrines or special eqipment? You have quite a lot of armour, how many points is your army? Your army sounds rather slow though. Ever concidered sentinels or rough riders? What's in your command squad? what has your officer got? I need answers and more information!

No doctrines or special equipment. My commander has a boltpistol and chainsword. I forgot to add my stormtroopers in i actually have like 7-8 of them with one lfamer and one GL. I sometimes use sentinels not often thou. I play defensivley i dont move much so slow is ok here. I field Many infantry before tanks. My command has a banner a medic a plasma rifle and a melta. Depends on what i take it usually is about 1400-1600 i think.

Very nice, a good army. I would not like to face it with my guard.

If anything, use the close order drill doctrine, i always have it, seeing as it's free and very helpful when your guard are faced with a LD test or (rarely) CC.

yes but I put the HQ as a junior officer as I described below and then my other officer is a junior officer in one of the squads i choose.

Looks decent, I like the Infantry Platoon, the infantry are very often overlooked and it's good see gratuitous use of them, as stated by others though Stormtroopers would be a better choice than Veterans, I'd drop the Basilisk and put another Leman Russ in.
One question however, are you allowed to have a Junior Officer leading your army, I've been playing Guard for years now and it's something I never considered before.

Ya you can let a Junior Officer lead. Its in the selection so I never thought you couldnt. I am gonna get another LR but for now they compliment each other.
@fishki: I do have to take a Junior Officer with my infantry platoons but he counts as being added in with the platoon.
