Ok well I am paining my first Imperial Guard and I was wondering if I could get some help on this 2000 point list.
Doctrines Storm troopers, Grenadiers, Die-hards, Iron discipline

OK, its a good list, but maybe for a 2000 point army your a bit low on core troops or any tanks, seeing as its your first list, maybe you should start with a lower points value (750-1000 maybe?) and leave out doctrines so you can get a feel for imperial guard. But hey, im still a newbie too ( I have only played like 6 games due to my local hobby shop closing down ) other than that it looks pretty cool, but can you take melta bombs with grenadiers? cos it says that grenadiers get training equivalent to stormtroopers but not they can take their wargear I think, I dont know dont have my codex in front of me but maybe thats worth checking. hope that helps and if you need anymore help just ask.

the only difference between storm troopers and grenadiers is that grenadiers cant infiltrate or deep strike

Well the main plain is simple making defence line using the normal guard platoon and the heavy weapons squad plus command squad to back them up. As well grenadiers are put to the flanks for two reasons i will not be flanked and if a can I will hunt enemy tanks and the enemy commander as well, buy flanking using them and the sentinels as support. The main questions what to do with the 186 points and what the best area to invest the points

i would suggest investing those in two chimeras, simply to the fact that grenadiers make for better efficiency when with a chimera. The time it takes to hunt a tank is reduced, and the chimera acts as a mobile firing turret...hope that helps
