i like it, good use of mobility and firepower, especially with 9 vehicles on the field. though i do caution you that you will have slight problems against armour 14 vehicles at a distance, depending on how good your lemun russ and bassies are. but yeah its good that you have melta guns packed in those infantry platoons though. you have a point about equipping them with track guards seeing that you HAVE to be well mobilised to be effective. However there is also the option of taking extra armou, which keeps your mobility without having to roll anything, up top you
got any pics of your army, i really like to see them!?

if you want a 'proper' Afrika Korps, then drop the bassie (the germans had no proper mobile artillery at the time). And use a leman Russ vanquisher as an antitank weapon (it dosen't break the fluff you see, and since your using IA kits anyway it dosen't matter) and give both Russes lascannons at the keast. This gives some much-needed long-range anti-tank (and a backup main weapon, so you can still capture points).
Nice idea. (maybe I'll make an 8th army force...)

unfortunately my army is still in construction as i only have 20 guards my commissar and a chimera...what should i take instead of the bassi....i agree with the laser canon thing...hum...but that would mean that i have to buy a vanquisher and thats very expensive (the autocanon are kit bashed).
trooper 249: there are 1o tanks (5 chimera, 2 leman russ, 2 hellhounds, 1 basilisk or used to be anyways)

the vanqisher kits are kitbashed by converting one of your leman russes to a demolisher (Panzer IV, short 75mm gun) and using the extra length of barrel to extend the barrel of your 'vanquisher'. vanquishers also make cool command tanks fluff-wise.
the 3rd Russ is better, and since the commissar detracts from the fluff, its a pretty good idea (plus, you don't want your commissar executing creed).

kircheim was the general commanding the fifth light division at the siege of turbuk and was the general of the 25 th panzer afterward.
