First of all: u lack anti-tank, not totally, just for 2k points u will need "something extra". Your total tank-hunting units are: 2 stormies squads, 3 tanks, 3 lascannon sentinels and the HQ. all in all 8 plasma/melta weapons(not more than 6 hits, at close range), 3 lascannons(1-2 hits per round u get) and 3 battle/demo cannons that will only do anything 1/3 time they shoot(1 hit). that's 8-9 anti-tank hits a turn. and 1 more from plasma cannons, 9-10 hits.At best, since most are in close range(melta). that takes out about 2 heavy tanks per turn (non-skimmers and ONLY if your firing is b4 u take casualties in tanks). What if a mechanized army, or a skimmer-heavy army(mech eldar/tau) comes up?worse would be a godzilla army (32 wounds, high toughness, 2+ save with your only 9-10 hits, let alone to wound rolls). In general, at 2k points it will b usual to fight 8+ vehicles in one army.Solution ready:add lascannons to your infantry squads. i found it works marvels in mechanized armies: chimeras slaughter infantry while lascannons take out tanks from a distance.
secondly:with so many chimeras, u can ditch the hellhound.trust me, a rightly-used chimera is half a hellhound battle-wise, and with so many of them u dont need it. Overall nice list, very nice it will just lose to mech eldar/tau and godzilla-type 'nids.otherwise very, very good, if u dont face such opponents dont make any changes( just been seeing many mech eldar lately)

Note:the prob is not so much with the lack of anti-tank;it is with too many of your units(almost all mounted infantry) lacking anti-tank potential, so they can be ignored by the aforementioned armies, effectivelly making u lose points in the table.

The list was 4pts shy of 2000. I did the math and I can drop the hellhound and pick up a lascannon in all three of my infantry squads as well as the JO command squad. If I drop one of the characters Boltpistols I can also add 2 plasmaguns to the JO command squad. That would bring me up 4lascannons and 2plasmaguns. Would that give me the added punch I need? Here are the totals then assuming I fire the sponson/hull weapons on the demoliser: 8 Lascannons 2 Battlecannons 2 Plasmacannons 6 Meltaguns 4 Plasmaguns Should I then strip out the flamers in the infantry squads and do something else with those points?

Don't forget that you can also take out tanks with the power fists on your commisars.
For the total list, I would make my command squad cc OR special weapon and not both cause now you would have to choose wether you want to fire or get your extra attack. If you would go cc I would take meltabombs on the characters to compensate for the loss of your short range AT weapons.
edit: keep in mind that your Chimera has a top hatch wich can be used as a fire point for the lascannons you're maybe gonna take.

The flamers are fine.I think this way u have the necessary punch needed; this way a mechanized oponent must watch out for all your units and not just ignore infantry like b4. note that u do not lack anti-infantry also:just look at how many blasts and heavy bolters u have, largely due to chimeras as i told u, so the loss of the (useful in non-mechanized lists) hellhound will not be noticed. Overall, much better anti-tank, anti-'fex/terminator capability with minimal if not zero anti-infantry loss. I like it.
