Tatics:

the vetrans and stormtroopers infiltrate near a objective while my sentail moves up and suports them. while the non heavy weapon platoon moves on two converge on another objective or if i'm on the defensive. the first platoon moves ahead while the storm troopers and vetrans stay behind. the platoon will then start to shoot up the enemy and enagein close combat while i'm firing the heavy weapons into the enemy


i'm thinking of changing some of the missle for heavy bolters and lasscannons what do you think

Get a leman russ demolisher and basilisk with indirect fire to expand out, give the demolisher plasma guns, the demolisher cannon, lascannon and a storm bolter, there, some heavy support...

Looks solid- LOTS of infantry. Should work well, but I wouldn't have 3 identical squads in each platoon, you should try and mix up the special/heavy weps for more diversity.

Also, why no refractor field on the hso? If you're gonna invest in an hso and not just go with a regular senior officer, you NEED the insured protection of a 5+ inv. save.

And i would agree with archlord in saying that you need some more heavy support... Not sure a demolisher would be the right way to go. Maybe a leman russ battle tank would be a better choice

i'm planning on having 2 demolishes in the list to roll up to objectives and stuff and i willl be changing the second platoons heavy weapon choices

Ur vets have a mix of rapid fire and assault weapons, and a power fist. Maybe change the plasma guns to assault weapons, either more melta guns, or nade launchers, so they can blast up a squad and then assault them. Also, is there a reason u have give the sarg a power fist and cloase combat weapon? A las pistol comes as standard, acts as a CC weapon and gives u an extra shot on the way in.

Like the list tho U have enough points left to add a hellhound if you wanted to.

one problem, you can only give the sharpshooters doc to squads with at least 1 BS3 model, hardened vets are BS4. wouldn't give a platoon command squad a hvy weapon if they're tooled up with power swords, powerfists ect.
