hey all, just thought I'd put the folks who have proven that they have lives outside of painting in their own bracket for the paintoff '06. here's the leaderboard, and beyond that I'll leave it to you all to go for the prize!

Rules:
All rules for the casual painter bracket of the paintoff 06' event are identical to the main bracket with the following exceptions:

1. When a showdown is declared, all contestants have 2 weeks (as opposed to the 1 week period in the regular bracket) before they must meet the point total declared as the cutoff to remain in the event.

2. the point total required to survive a showdown and remain in the competition may not increase by more than double from one showdown to the next. thus, if the first showdown is for 10pts worth of work, the next may not be for more than 20pts worth of work. at the point which 'double' is more than 25pts, the maximum increase in points from one showdown to the next is capped at a 25pt increase over the last showdown.

I've got a rough rider done and i'm finishing a leman russ. I would have loved to have put more time into painting, but work and football takes its toll on productivity. Pics will be up tomorrow.

OK, here we go



rough rider = 2 points
(both rider and cold one were already assembled and undercoated, i just painted them and stuck them together)

leman russ = 1.5 points?
(It was already assembled, and painted camoflauge. From there i painted the rest and added tracks and painted those.)

Ok I didn't get much done....but I got the 4 half painted squads done with another colour...not sure if that counts but wanted to let you know so that it actually looks like i am doing something.

Will post some pictures when my hangover subsides a little bit.....another 5 or so coffees will do. I hope.

Ok I finally got the pics taken:



The guys above are totally finished from half done.



These guys just need a few more bases done...run out of stuff.



These guys need 1 colour to be done and a few bases.

If you can find him there is one guardsman in there that forgot to wash his catachan green uniform, so he has to wear his camo green one.

Not to sure how many points that is I'll leave that in the hands of turtleboy ;D

The trick with photo-taking is all about cropping. Take the picture from far away where the camera can get focus, then blow it up to full with a program like IrfanView, and cut out what you want. It looks very nice

assuming the second and third squad were full repaints I gave you a total of 22.5pts for all of it. that's 5pts for the first squad since it was half done and you finished it all off, the second squad was all but a few bases (so like 9pts) and the third squad was similar but also missing a minor paint color so I did 8.5pts on them. when you finish off the second and third squad I'll move your points up to 25 goddess

I am getting slow....I got my ratlings hakf done the other night but haven't had time to take a picture yet....will try and get one done after work.

OK here comes an update.

These two were half painted so i finished them off for 0.5 points each



These 5 were painted from scratch for 1 point each





So that's 6 points for these fellas. More to follow, here's what i have to assemble/paint;

Thanks grisnik, i love painting storm troopers because they take no time at all and come out really nice.
