the rough riders themselves are great, but it may just be me but the horses seem to small for the riders

Its not you, LOTR models are smaller than ours, so the horses are a little bit tiny compared to the warhammer models.

commissar is right...LOTR are smaller than warhammer...i consider them ponys...but ive mainly did it fer the purpose of wysiwyg...and because it was relatively cheaper to convert than using other stuff

Just say that the horses are from Quarnox IIVX or something, that'll clear it up. Love the HW teams, the loader is always the first to get it during my games. If you want to make your yellow armor look better but keep it going fast, paint it plain yellow then give them a brown ink wash on the armor plates. Ink is great for making models look good and painting them fast. PS: Great photo quality too.
