GO! *fires starting gun*
5.15 points - Grisnik (3pts walker sized model, 1pt infantry sized model, 1pt quality, .15 quality basing)
did you do conversion work? (tabards/cloth bits, coconuts?) I see fingerprints which typically indicates working with greenstuff)

lol Turtleboy.. the entire thing is conversion... Only the hands, right arm and face are original It was my first real massive sculpting piece that I have been working on for a while.. just never got around to painting it until just recently.. but yeah everything on him ( tabard, cloth, chainmail, sword, hair, boots, pants, left arm, coconuts, wolfskin pelt on back of gnoblar.. ) is all greenstuffed.. well procreate.. but same dif just different color.. you will see more of my Ogres throughout this competition as well.. and can see the work I have done and will do on them as well.. will post up a small tutorial on it as well maybe if I have access to my own camera at that time ( Wife's family borrows it often and for varying lengths of time.. ).. WIP of the tyrant You can tell the difference by the color of the grey.. but yeah.. its pretty much a full on custom sculpt.. Cheers mate for the points.. wasent expecting them but works for me Gris

hee hee I have worked on my models.. but not in the paint style.. but in basing and movement trays.. spent most of the weekend creating magnetic movement trays and affixing magnets with GS to the bottom of my goblins when not dealing with burying my wifes dog and dealing with her emotions.. am planning on getting some painting done tonight so look for pictures and such later today/tomorrow morning...
Cheers Gris

I'm claiming .85pts on this one. .35 for taking him from partial painted to full painted and .5 for quality (though the picture doesn't nearly do him justice). I spent about 2-3hrs finishing this model so it was an investment in quality to be sure. will try and replace this with a better pic when there's light (can't photograph oranges with a flash ).

Really sorry if this is too late (not sure if i can still enter). I have never entered one of these competions before. Anyway i have:
30 guardsmen
Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Pippin, Gandalf (LOTR)
10 Karskin
5 Converted Space Marines
Compared to Grishnak i know that list is pretty pathetic but it's the best i can manage.

of course you can still enter.. there is no cut off to enter... just by entering late i think there was a penalty in points or something.. and yes a picture is required.. but the more the merrier mate.. welcome aboard..
TB - nice marine mate.. the warning stripes on the chainsword looks ACE!!! but yeah the main colors look washed out from the flash.. I get that alot as well when I try to take pics of some of my models..
Looking good everyone.. lets keep up the pace here..

its a good enough pace to get things going.. besides I'm scared of Knight dropping down 20 models at once here... all in fine detail and sporting some nifty freehand anyways.. back to work I go.. and to get 5 night goblins done tonight, plus glueing some Squigs to their bases as well.. have a game on thursday.. should be interesting.. Cheers Gris

meh. I'm not that good. Just the simple stuff, but I fear that I'll run out of black primer if I continue primeing at that rate.... Now I'm in trouble. I can't find my armybook Skaven and therefore can't start painting them as my paintscheme is in the book...

as far as judging myself, yeah it's a touch difficult but it establishes a way by which I can judge others - a standard if you will. if you want a quality award, please add the time you spent on the model (approximately) so I can better judge it. if you don't I might give you less of a quality award than you deserve.
gris, this years paintoff has a countermeasure for last years 'save up all my models and drop em all in one shot, pow, I'm up 50 and I call a showdown' move. this year the max pts you can claim in 1 day is 10.

I need a before pic of all that if you want to be able to win the paintoff. this is so that I can verify that your models began unpainted. ofcourse, feel free to post models you've painted and I'll credit you points on the leaderboard in the threads initial post, you just won't be able to claim any prizes if you win without that before pic.

first off sorry for some of the the poor quality of some of the pictures(i need a new camera) i finally finished these two things after working non-stop on them for 2 days, they are a bit of a speed paint, but i wanted to get them done pretty bad ;D The first is a simple leman russ battle tank And this little thing is a conversion, it was already half done before the compotition started just so turtle knows but the painted i started on the 17th. I use it as a sentinal, it was made from a ork warbuggie, and then all the little bits left over from my army. Edit Oh and i also have some more stuff i am planning on painting Again, sorry for the quality

Yeah I know TB.. just like to state it still.. throw off the competition as it were.. Got 7 squigs started tonight.. put them together ( also known as attaching their bases ), flocked, basecoated, and they have 2 layers of paint on them and the bases painted as well.. too bad they require about mmmm 10 more layers to go and more colors before they are finished.. which will be Friday.. Work dinner tomorrow, late work today, game on thursday.. so painting like the madman I will be friday, saturday, sunday... and at less than 7 models per day well probably not.. will hopefully have a good day of painting on saturday before heading to Daft Punk.. Ok enough rambling.. wife calling.. past midnight here.. damn work nights.. Cheers Gris PS .found!.. nice pics make.. although blurry we can see your work on them.. very cool.. glad to see more models being posted.. cheers
