Here are a couple of experimental pictures taken today to test out my new camera, and show you all a couple of my models... Hopefully will get a chance to photograph the whole army soon - will post if I get the chance... Any comments welcome - I'm not really just fishing for compliments! Armoured Fist group shot Guardsman close up One very brave stormtrooper sergeant! One very brave sergeant backed up by a few equally brave stormtroopers... Cheers!

Thanks!
Just in the process of figuring out how to add backgrounds... All this playing around with digital photos is fairly new to me!

awesome pics with the tyranid, that's one cool nid model. I love the chimera, it made me consider adding a camo scheme to my vehicles! the infantry is based really well, but the only detractor I saw was a lack of highlighting on the khaki fatigues. if you took a bleached bone to the highlights on the fatigues it would really look nice I think - especially on the tabletop since the eye would blend the two colors even better with a bit of distance. I did that with some fantasy dwarves and while up close you can clearly see where the colors go from darker to lighter, the sheer variance of dark to light from a small distance makes them look super good.
that's one great looking armored fist and kasrkins and welcome to the IGMB lupus!

Thanks for the suggestion - I agree, they would definitely look better with highlights, but as is generally the way I've too many things on the go, rest assured though that when I get there I will be adding those highlights for certain. A very good piece of advice here - apparently painting models comes after wedding plans - who knew?! So I am banned from painting until after the wedding - I took the oppurtunity of a new camera to 'experiment with the settings' and here we are! Shh, don't tell...

Hey! Thanks for all the positive comments! The tyranid is a forge world scythed hierodule - the stat line isn't that great, but I loved the model! So, not a board for the lucky in love then?!

That tank looks very shiny. Did you use any kind of varnish on it, or is it just my imagination?

Now you mention it, it does look kinda shiny in the picture - I think that's some kind of illusion, it doesn't look shiny in the flesh (should that be plastic?!).
It's just got a coat of the usual GW Purity Seal on it...

I dont like them, it just seems like its more dangerous because of tank hunting infantry. Anyways.
