Hey there all, I'm relatively new to playing guard, I've just finished my first squad and my platoon command squad, here are some pics of them. I don't really have any fluff for them yet, but I'll think something up. Any comments would be appreciated  . |

yeah, they look slightly lighter than models normaly undercoated. Nice paint jobs though.

The two green colours match really well. Its always nice to see Cadians painted in woodland camo in something other than the Cadian 8ths colours.

and i could just tell the difference in the undercoat from the metal and the aquila symbols.

yep me too...the brown and green contrast but sumwhat blend really well in woody terrain hehe

Accually, looking at the pictures shows a lot of mistakes I missed with the model. My junior officer has no face...

Thanks! I'm working on my armoured fist, Chimera, 2nd squad, and stormtroopers, they should be up next. I got like 1000pts worth 2nd hand from some guy at the store for like $70! That has like 50 guys and a chimera, and a leman russ.

yeah, hope to see em, i got like 10 new on sprue guardsmen, 1 medic, 1 plasmagunner 5 adeptus arbites for FREE from the guys at our hobby store which has closed down *sob*

mice colour schemes, my guards are gray and black for city camo i will post some pictures soon,
tip: If i was you i would hylight the faces more with elf flesh and mayby blend the brown more;)

Be honest. You based that army on Owen Rees' Tanhelians. If not it's uncanny how both colour schemes look exactly alike.

you ment I stole the camo scheme from Owen Rees' Tanhelians or the "my models guy"
and so what he or I stole some colours its not that you can't paint your moddels without anny inspiration from other people

word up, I stole my paint scheme from GW. cadian 7th baby, catachan green and commando khaki, right off the front of the box (and the sides, and the back, and the book (BBB, IG codex, novels)...yeah...anyway..). call me unoriginal, call me a copy cat, call me cliche, but you can also add 'survivor' to that list of things you call me cuz I never would have stuck with my guard if I used a paint scheme I liked less.

Meh, I made my paint scheme up on the spot, as soon as I primed my first guardsman I gave him blue fatigues and catachan armour, the imperial guard marine corps! Anyways...post more pics!  |

Got my scheme from a box as well. Inspiration, FTW. great pics, really cool paint scheme (doesn't suit my fancies, I'm an urban guy) but they look a wee bit out of focus.
