Accually I've never heard of "Captain Ree's Tallerns", I took this colour scheme from the codex. It's the Cadian Jungle Fatigues (3rd guy on the colour schemes page), but I couldn't do the little karskin-ish camo pattern on ever guardsman so I just gave 'em Camo Green spots. And oh yeah, it was a sweet deal. That's $70 Canadian, too. Not that that makes much of a difference lately . Oh and BTW, the Junior Officer's power sword is made of wood, I'm glad no-one noticed. Thanks guys! ;D

I know Im a bit late in tamping down the little bit of flames that flared up here but for what it's worth, cadian117 is correct - no one's models suck! the closest you can get to sucky models is the unpainted unprimed grey death legion, and that doesn't even suck because at least you've shelled out the money for the models and support the hobby and have taken the time (most likely) to assemble the bits so you're not playing with blank bases or something proxy based. ANY paint is to be celebrated, regardless of how crude or advanced the technique and application. it is a rare thing in this day and age to see someone do something non online videogame related as a hobby and the arts (and crafts) of 40k are simply something that pride should be taken in. when I say 'I was painting earlier' to a girl, you have no idea how much that perks her interest. most guys have (sorry but hey) degenerate relatively worthless hobbies that just suck hours out of the day and give nothing back. having a hobby that is a craft that inspires masterful painting techniques instantly qualifies you as one step more interesting/intriguing/worthwhile to most women I would venture to assume. that's been my experience at least. regardless of your skill and level of advanced-ness in knowing and being able to apply the techniques of painting, you're still a painter and you still are a rarity amongst a sea of growing stagnation in the hobby scene (videogamers representing the stagnant part - you never really walk away with anything you can keep and be proud of for the rest of your life - that you can show off and be proud of to others - with videogaming). at any rate, please, no fiery responses or insults about anothers painting. if you don't like it, then offer some constructive criticism so that the person can't tell whether you like it or not. I know it's cliche' but 'support the arts'

Owen Rees is the Editor in chief of the UK WD team. I am sorry to say but you are all wrong, some models do suck. A friend of mine attacked his own SM rhino with a hair dryer, it wasn't pretty. His models suck. Another friend of mine glued his cadians with "No more nails", he also painted them with out door water proof paint. His models suck..........they don't mind me saying this, they said it themselves, I am only agreeing with them. The kid with the hair dryer did it for a dair!

Try leaving your models ontop of the oven and coming home from work, tired, and cooking dinner, in the oven. The models were in a case and that sheilded them a little bit but all the bases were warped and the barrels of the guns were crooked.jules4

Ooo, thats tough... Try spending 5 hours making an imperial outpost, painting it all up in nice red(several coats on the building) and then accidentally lighting it on fire...I had no idea balsa wood could burn so fast...

-Goes back in time to the days of page one using magical commissar powers-
Those models are awesome...I just looked back on them again and forgot what they look like, but they are very good, better than most at my local GW.

Got my scheme from a box as well. Inspiration, FTW. great pics, really cool paint scheme (doesn't suit my fancies, I'm an urban guy) but they look a wee bit out of focus. AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH HE SAID "FOR THE WORLD"
