Its about 3 differant sprues in him: command sprue ( banner, backpack, claw and gun (not arm) and shoulder pads) darkangles sprue (back cloak) normal space marine sprue (front armour, gun arm[cut the bolter off], legs and head) I am just guessing at the sprues I used because it was a Scrapdeamon thing and they dont tell you what sprues you have in front Yes, it is the blood angels symbol hence him being a Blood Angles captain

For those interested in the details from which sprues what parts are from: Commander sprue: banner, shoulder pads, back armour+cloak, combi weapon plasma-boltgun, lightning claw, backpack, "skirt" Assault Squad: legs Tactical Squad: front armour, right arm (had a boltpistol),

no, the back was from the Dark Angels sprue. I guess i am going to have to spoil it but the chest plate didn't make a perfect fit on the DA back, it overlapped it slightly because it was bigger.. Tboy: Since my last new model, I have painted about 25 models, and each had a bit of practise put in to them (one had a bit of blood to ).

Well its just that my Dark Apostle and my former Night Lords commander had exactly the same cloak. And when I built the Night Lord there weren't any new Dark Angles out there and I'm 100% sure that I used the cloak of a SM Commander for my Dark Apostle conversion as well. I don't have shot from back right now, but I think those two pics show, that its the same cloak. And the commander backarmour is attached to the cloak as well and is one part not two like my first post could have suggested.

oh i dunno, i asked the one of the staff running the ScrapDeamon what sprue it was from and he said Dark Angels, but you are right, they do look alike, i have been looking at the Online store aswell and they all look the same. Hmmm, maby that man was in a rush or wasn't thinking straight.

Back when I started 40K when I was like 6 or 7... I played Dark angels, and all my mates played Ultra or Blood, so I have a deep rooted hatred of blood angels. but its still a cool model.
