[glow=red,2,300]WARNING!! VERY IMAGE INTENSIVE!!![/glow] While you wait for this one to load, go grab yourself a snack or use the bathroom. This'll take a while.... Good evening, all. This is my plasticard Warhound Titan, from A to Z, in picture 'blog form. I appologize for the background of my home, but I didn't feel like setting up a photo gradient for this. Maybe for the painted ones. Enjoy the pictures and commentary beneath. A foot, three times! Pain in the ass to cut out the same dang template ten times... The completed leg, from three angles These weren't so bad to do, but still very repetative. Both completed legs The hip region completed Hip connector Leg mechanism and pistons The knee gear bits Near complete hull atop the leg assembly Completed hull with head attached Some more mechanisms Weapon One: Vulcan Mega Bolter! Weapon Two: Inferno Cannon! Alas, the completed Titan. I hope you enjoyed the pictures. I'll try to post painted pics soon. I appologize for the picture quality, and the background featuring my house and cat.. anyway.. I picked up these templates from a Yahoo! group called the BWC-archive. PM me for the URL. The head is of my own design. --Myles

Bud of mine and me were tossing back and forth ideas for an Emperor titan. It'd pretty much be it's own game table. Building this thing only took about 20 hours. For anyone who's ever made paper airplanes or done origami, it's really easy and REALLY cheap. seriously, Chimeras are more expensive. I think i spent like 35$ on this thing and I still have plenty of materials left. for the "how": I used a simple paper template from the above-mentioned Yahoo! group. they have all sorts of stuff. Instead of using the paper, i taped all the templates to a "for rent" sign (well, two) that i got at my local Home Depot. I used PVC piping for the leg joints along with some poly styrene tubes and stuff. there's also some balsa wood in there somewhere. Like i said, easy, just a little time consuming. I did mine in about a week. All of this reminds me of one thing: I still only have 400pts of my actual elysian army I'll probably be working on those guys for a little while then get back to my war machines.

that'd be absolutely disgusting. I love it! Four hundred drop troops holding on to the titan, slowing it's fall.

That is by far THE most gorgeous homemade titan I have ever seen! And I've seen a couple before that looked so-so. Kudos to you, made of paper *sigh* wish I had all that skill and raw materials It looks insane, god damn, thats a mighty fine piece of modelling, can't stop staring at the end result picture!

I'm going to be ludocrisly greedy and ask you to post an instruction set or something so we can all use warhounds without f***ing around with forgeworld and their ludocris pricing.

"how much money you save/time???"
all told, it was about 35 USD. Took me about a week.
I built this from a simple template available at the Yahoo! Group BWC Archive. email me for the url. I didn't feel like paying all that money either, so i built my own, no greed in asking for instuctions.
