Just joined today, i love you guys site. it rocks. I'm just getting back into the hobby and these are from one of my first games.
the story line is the the IG was taken over by the nids, and the SM (Angelic Knights, Homemade chapter) had to go kick some a$$, but true to form my buddy and I lost, (We seem to role poorly no matter what troops we use, the dice God is angry at us)

I'm currently working on a IG army of Praetorians and it should be finished soon, unfortunately Uncle Sam has seen fit to send me back to Iraq, so it may be a while till they see action. I plan on taking them with me, as some of my buddies also play, but time between missions can be sparse at times.

Thank you. Here in a week or so ill post some more pics, My buddy is having a going away game for me, so it should be a good time.
As for the terrain, we're in the process of making new. the system you see above has been in use for around 5 years now, and has slowley taken a beating. We plan on focusing on city, a little more, and having the tiles mesh together better. But for our first set it was great.

Thanks to all of the above. I love the scruffy look on all mods. even my spit and polish Preatorians are dirty. on saterday ill post some pics of them. (since Uncle Sam gave me the weekend off (and there was much rejoicing))

I would suggest taking a painting class cause the flesh is bad and you should also buy some brushes from GW if you haven't, Expensive but worth it.

there is more then just Gamesworkshop out there. You can by model paints for a fraction of the price at stores like Hobby lobby, or Mitchels. As for brushes GW is overpriced, for the quality of its brushes. Once again go to a real art store and spend your money there.

As for the flesh thing. Im not sure where you got a real good look at flesh in these models?
Ill admit that some of my models dont have the best flesh or paint in the whole world. but to go so far as to suggest painting classes (which by the way I grew up right next to a GW when I lived in Portsmouth England) and they are the ones who tought me how to feild paint (which is all this is. in 1 year ive painted 3k of IG, 3K of SM, 2.5K Choas, and 2.5K INQ thats a friggin lot!!!) And last but not least Im sick of people being critical if they're not posting images of there own. Ill take critisism from anyone as long as I can see that they are on the right path themselves.
