Hello folks, though I am not realy new to the forum (a few posts here and there) I haven't posted any pictures yet so I thought it was about time. I'm building an Elysian Drop Troop army using the Forge World models and old storm troopers models. (Not the realy commando old ones, but the ones before the kasrkin) By now I have 15 elysians ready, 10 half painted stormies and about 10 more Elysians more or less assembled. The idea of the paintscheme is to get a woodland feeling to the army, mostly because I am swedish and a soon to be soldier myself (green comes natural then ) and because I didn't want the normal urban or desert camo for them. So here are some pictures of them, rather bad pictures tough... Sorry about that but the only camera we had for the job was my cellphone, and due to bad lightning and nuts I give you a brief show of my fingers aswell. Please say what you think of them! The first guy I painted. "Run Forest run!" A blurry medic. And a shouting officer with a bolter carbine, he points with his whole hand because that's what you realy do (I noticed in this photo that his hand was very long, this have been fixed so bear with me!) These guys are so green so the Ordo Xenos must acuse them of being inspired of orcs! Just to show you how green they are, this is a stormtrooper and he looks almost done except details, he currently got some black, dark angels green and catachan green on

Cool models dude! The Tau fire Warrior legs are a good call, with only a little conversion they make perfect carapace armor.

awesome models dude, and the pictures are REALLY nice compared to some of the pictures i've seen posted (my own being no exception). That must be an awesome cellphone.
The gesturing conversion is really cool (i made the same conversion myself )
Correct me if I'm wrong, but gesturing with the whole hand is used to indicate something, while pointing with a finger means "kill it," doesn't it? I know that's the case in the US armed forces, at least.

high five for sweden! anyhow, nice stuff there. I would probobly not spot them on the battlefield if you hide them in some terrain.

Actually you gesture with the entire hand because it is easier for your "men" to see the signal. If you use a single finger it is more difficult to see what is being pointed at. It also shows more authority than poking a finger as someone.
Oh, your models rock. Great use of Camo.

also less agressive pointing with the whole hand, i know that sounds odd but alot of culters get really hacked off with the single finger thing, and most armies try not to annoy the locals to much, great work on the converstions though, and good luck on your military career

That netting on the side of the first mini's legs reminded me of the mesh of Predator fame. Good job.

As I promised, here are some pictures of my finished stormtroopers! Green green and more green! And a little peek of what I work with beside the Elysians... A work in progress Valhallan senior officer!

Waw! Some of the nicest models I have recently seen on the board well done!
One thing I would like to pointout. The S.O's arm is way to long. Other than that well done!

Hehe yea I know, but he is still work in progress. I've noticed that these kind of oddities show in a different way on photos then on the real model, same thing with my Elysian officer. Thanks for pointing it out!
