So my opponent of choice (the guy I usually end up playing against) tried a different list. He maxed out on the units he would NEVER normally put into play because he feels they are worthless (Lictors & Raveners), just to see how bad they really are.
He did not quite commit gamer suicide, though: still fielding a Broodlord and maxed GS retinue, 2 squads of Termagaunts (with +1 ST upgrades), 8 bases of Spiney Ripper Swarms, 3 Zoanthropes, a shooty ‘fex and two Biovores.
I played pretty much the same *shooty* Inq DH w/Space Marine allies list that lost the last two times against his bugs, with two minor changes; I forsook my typical Assault Squad to field a second Landraider instead, did away with the Whirlwind in favor of a Dreadnought, lowering the Stormtrooper and SM squad numbers to accommodate the point shift.

The results were kinda expected with his self described, “almost-all-ass,” list. But he gave it the try, and the fact is I had just too many vehicles for him to handle.
First turn for him saw movement and ineffective shooting of the Venom Cannon and Biovores, only two SM casualties (from a Zoanthrope), while my turn killed off two Zoanthropes and wounded the ‘fex with HK’s and multiple Lascannons/Heavy Bolter shots.
Second turn his Termagaunts on my right flank failed their check out of the hive mind and had to shift to the center towards the Broodlord, left flank squad not so lucky. He scored a couple more casualties, I moved the vehicles to get LOS to the HQ, and disembarked the Stormtroopers. Made mincemeat out of his HQ, killing all but two GS and the Broodlord, and killed the ‘fex, Biovores, and another Zoanthrope as well.
Third turn he Deep Struck both Ravener squads right in my HQ & SM’s face and moved his HQ forward again, hoping to distract with the Raveners and reach my lines by the third, but it put them in the open. Those 18 shots by the Raveners took a toll on the HQ and SM squad w/Lascannon, but they held firm. My turn had Stormies flaming the hell out of the Termagaunt squad on the left flank for half their numbers, with the Chimera reducing them down to only four bases left. Concentrated fire on the Ripper swarms reduced them to two bases, while the HQ and SM’s took out all but one of the Raveners up in their face. The right flank was a route, completely clear, so shifted force to the center, trying to keep LOS clear for all.
Fourth turn, Lictors both Deep Strike, right behind each of the Stormtrooper squads, Termagaunts from the right flank are back in hive mind control, and turn to shoot at the Stormtroopers before the Lictor does his business, but they fail and shoot at the Landraider instead. Broodlord assaults a Landraider that failed to move previous turn, and ripper Swarm goes after side armor of a Chimera, both for no effect. The Ravener wins assault against the SM’s, causing them to fall back, and consolidates against the Dreanought. Both Lictors cause a total of three Stormtrooper casualties and they are killed by the respective Sgt’s (Powerfist & Lightning Claws.) My turn killed off the remaining four Termagaunts, storm bolters, mulilasers and heavy flamers giving the termagaunts on the right flank the business, and the Dread is destroyed by the Ravener, who is assaulted in turn by the Acolytes and succumbs.
The bugs gave up at that point
Nid’s had left:
Broodlord, Zoanthrope, six Termagaunts, one Ripper Swarm.
Inq DH had:
The whole HQ, 2 Landraiders, 2 Chimera’s, 2 Rhino’s, Predator, 1 squad of three SM’s, 1 squad of 5 SM’s, 2 squads of Stormtroopers w/5 & 7 respectively.
I seem to have difficulty rolling with the Predator. Two full turns of shooting I missed with both sponsons, hit with the twin linked, and rolled one's to wound (epic fail )
