Mini Games day at the Novi, MI store brought out the girls in pink for a small battle of Take and Hold. This was a 1K per person team event with only four players.
The sides were easy to pick as the Xeno's Tau and Chaos forces set up their forces. (Imperium actually won the roll off opting to go second to respond to their deployment)
Facing off against the Forces of Xenos'/Chaos was the Amazonian Fighting LXIX and the 101st Penal Legion. To very effective Imperial forces with drastically different force make up and play styles.
Roll off for first turn.
Imperium wins and opts to go first.
Imperial forces turn one
Immobilized a Chaos Dreadnaught on the opening salvo from the Clueless
Two of three Chaos Bikers suffered burns and lead poisoning from a Hellhound's Inferno cannon and Heavy bolter fire resulting in their breaking and leaving the battle field in the cowardly fashion that is known to the Tzeench forces.
One Tau Fire warrior team reduced to one man, and a three man stealth suit team reduced in numbers and running as well.
The penal Legion also had some impressive numbers against the Chaos forces and a pie plate on some more Tau fire warriors.
Turn one opponent
Casualties of the Imperium
Amazonian LXIX none
101st Penal legion 3 prisoner guardsmen
Turn two
The Clueless was ineffective
the 2 Hellhounds of the Amazonian continued to test the tau fire warriors in a trial of fire (They failed) bringing about the end of two more fire warrior squads(min member squads should be pointed out)
The amazonian conscripts continued to push through cover to the objective, 1st platoon and the HSO also made a push for the center of the board.
10st fire was much more effective taking out a Demon prince with heavy weapons fire, lascannon fire, and a lucky plasma shot.
opponents turn two.
three members of the 1st platoon jso squad were not looking good after taking a hit from some ion fire that the tau decided to try and make a pay back issue. Forcing a leadership test which the commissar executed the Lieutenant who began to show symptoms of cowardice. The Heavy Bolter gunner seeing the swift execution of the LT decided it was best to just sit still, shut up and man the heavy bolter.
The penal legion in the meantime lost 5 more prisoners to some rapid fire of the thousand suns.
Turn three
The Hell hounds final push across the field saw the destruction of the remaining tau forces hiding behind cover, and bathing a couple thousand son's in the purifying flames of the Emperors judgment.
Again the Clueless was ineffective in shooting falling short of any casualties, but making impressive craters between lines of the Chaos filth.
the 101st continued to use his snipers to keep the heads of the Chaos hoard at bay killing several members of the command squad.
Turn three opponents (no deep strike roll failed)
Tau player moved his stealth suits
Chaos continued push towards objective and adding some punishing cover fire into the autocannons of the 101st wiping them out.
Turn 4 Imperium
The girls of the Amazonian turned one of the their hellhounds full bore across the field of battle towards the objective bringing move flaming goodness and taking out the final stealth suits.
The other Hellhound made a tactical maneuver to cover a possible deep strike zone in the exposed rear of the Amazonian lines.
The Conscript platoon made the final push through cover to get the entire unit within scoring range urged on by the commissar amid their ranks.
The 101st continued its own punishment from the remaining sniper teams and lascannon heavy weapon support. Falling more of the chaos vermin.
Turn four opponent
Crisis suits finally arrive and as expected open fire on the rear armor of the Clueless sending her out of commission and as I am told the tech-priestess nearly has her repairs completed.
The final push from the Chaos HQ punished the remains of the 101st remaining lines leaving a hole where a full platoon stood in valor against the darkness up to that point in the one sided battle.
Turn five.
Amazonian first platoon made a tactical move to hold off the Crisis suits so that they would not be able to do further damage to the main body of the force holding the objective. With the combined strength of a full squad of Lasguns, and the Flames of purification from the Hellhound coupled with several heavy bolter rounds brought down two of the drones (I hate feel no pain).
The 101st began its wonderous show of strength against the chaos HQ bringing the squad down to just the Chaos lord which the Amazonian conscripts were happy to dispatch with 22 lasguns in rapid fire scoring 9 hits and a unheard of 8 wounds against the foul impersonation of the honored Adeptus Astartes who's final words could be heard over the vox channels "Flashlights? what flashlights?"
Turn five Opponents.
An air burst from the Crisis suit team and following ion burst fire removed the girls of the 1st squad from the platoon facing them.
Turn six
The second squad from the first platoon and the remaining jso heavy bolter squad turned to face the menace of the Crisis suit team. Throwing all they had against the foul Xenos invader. (Again feel no pain sucks wind)
The 101st penal legion moved his remaining scoring units into the scoring position
Leaving the chaos dreadnaught safely immobilized behind a building with no los to any troops (not that it had any long range weapons anyhow) except the dust from the thousand sons being spread to the winds across the planet.
Turn six Tau
With only the two crisis suits they opened fire on the girls of the 1st platoon with no effective fire at all. No casualties were sustained during the brief fire fight.
Following the show of bright ion blasts and fireworks as the air burst painted the sky in nothing more than a fizzle the Crisis suit charged into hand to hand.
Bringing to bear everything he had and effectively sending the girls to the infirmary where the Amazonian Medics are treating their wounds, and the commissars are adjudicating if anyone may have been tainted by the touch of the Xenos scum.
Total Losses for the Amazonian LXIX
1 Basilisk
25 girls from First platoon and the JSO that led them.
1 Commissar
101st Penal legion
1 platoon
one heavy weapons team
7 snipers
We ended the battle with an award of full victory points for the taking of the Objective with 9 scoring units and almost 2K additional points from the annihilation of the opposing force (Danged FNP.... Tau should not have this... Stupid FNP)
