Hey guys! I've been working on IG Rough Riders. I have a prototype and a couple more in work. I was going to go with Cold Ones from the WFB Dark Elf line, but you can't bits order them now. And I didn't want to pay 15 a blister, or 50 for five knights. Then I find out that the Cold Ones the Lizardmen ride are different. A little more dynamic and 35 dollars will get you a box set of 8! So check them out and tell me what you think. Thanks! Things I need some help with in particular are; 1. They have some tribal necklace thingy around their necks. Do you think I could just shave off the tribal symbols and leave them for sort of a techno restrictor mechano thingy? 2. Do they look too similar/consistent/posed? 3. Should I do something different with the hunting lance... shorter, different decoration? 4. If a guy has a hunting in lance in one hand, what should the other one be doing? I've considered getting fine chain and hooking it to the 'necklace' part of the Cold One. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and talk to ya later! LSM

looks like your off to a great start. I'd probably look for another tip for the lances but what you got isnt too bad the necklace would look fine as a sort of control collar thing and having the rider holding the reigns would look awesome.

i love the tip. such a good idea for what its supposed to be. ive seen people do grenades before but i think the mortar shell is a much better idea. a techno-collar is a cool idea. or you could try to shave it off and cover it with a harness or gear and greenstuff. i would recommend putting either the reins in the other hand or a laspistol or chainsword. it all depends on how you want to equip them. i'd recommend giving them laspistols instead of chainswords tho.

The legs are a bit of a pain. Basically there are some good left legs but the guardsmens right legs never are positioned correctly. I scrape out the insides of both legs a bit to help them fit around the mount. Then I cut the legs in half down the center of the hips to allow them to be spread a bit. Then cut the legs into two pieces each and reposition them a bit. Fill in the gaps with green stuff and go. I'll try to take some pics the next one I do and I'll post them if there's any interest.
Also, I'll have to start photographing all my stuff before I prime it... look at the mold lines I missed! LOL

Very nice work mate! For the necklace, you could go for something more sophisticated.... As for the lance, I like the end (what do you use??) but the rest seems a bit too plain. Maybe a kind of buttend or something...
Hope that will help
