The Sarge: @cadian: ..not again @tridman: thin plasticard. Mabus: some tiny beads you can find in any crafts store. Very usable as spent cartridges as well.. Cheers CC

They are huge mate!
I love the camo, it is quite the same we have in the French Army! We call it central europe camouflage
Keep doing that huge stuff mate! Like to paint like you!!

Thanks, mate! I know the French camo is quite similar to the old US woodland pattern. Indeed one of the nicest there is imho. Weekend coming up and I got another trooper and an Lt to paint to finish my first squad. Veterans likely to come next, I still got some FW bitz left. Hope to be able to show some pics on Sunday..
Cheers

I love the paint scheme on these guys, they look great. Mind if I steal it? I will give you full credit. One question though, how did you do the squad markings? Again great looking guardsmen.

ant7: there is a font called wingdings or webdings or something, there you'll find numbers 0-9 in circles. Just adjust the backgroud colour to your liking, print them in the size you want, and glue them on the shoulderguards @tridman: GS it is. Groupshot 1st Squad+ Lt Cheers CC

These are so good I'm jealous. And your one hour a piece paint time... I can't spend three times that and not get something I like as much as these. You my friend, rock.

The only possible thing I can think to add would be an additional basing element for a bit of visual interest. If they are operating in an area devoid of any vegetation maybe the sand could have some intermittent discoloration or something. Thats just being picky though. They look great.

The Lt magically grew a pouch from his right boobie... Have you entered painting competitions before?

Cool idea on the shoulder insignia, does the paper ever turn brown or brittle?
