I have been playing Warhammer for a good number of years and have recently had the opportunity to branch out into 40k. Being a long time Empire player I obviously chose the Imperial Guard. Well I was reading through the Codex and Rulesbook when I had some questions strike me that would effect the models I purchase.
Can grenades be used more than once, in the sense that if I buy melta bombs for storm troopers and I attack a tank with them in one turn and attack another tank with them later? Are frags and kraks one use?
Do Evisorators effectivly do 6+2d6 do to the Str doubling aspect of the sword?
If I have a heroic senior officer with a power fist and a bolt pistol, is the additional attack really an additional attack effectively allowing allowing one more power fist attack or is it resolved using the character's base stats (or perhaps with the pistols)?
Can I equip my sergeant or officer with a storm bolter in addition to his pistol and sword?
What are the stats for a heavy pintle storm bolter?
Can my melta bombs or krak grenades be used against infantry? If so what would be the procedure for that?
When firing ordnance is it all models touched by the template are hit or the more conventional all and partial on 4+?
Can I have two medics in my command squad (the codex is rather unclear)?
What happens if my droptroopers land in the midst of an enemy unit?
That's it for now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forums and 40k. Grenades and Meltabombs are mulit use. Eviscerators are afaik treated as chain fists. So they double the base strength against infantry, ignore armor, and if attacking a tank you get +2d6 for armour penetration. In 40k the soldiers always strike with the weapon you want. (true WHFB question) Nope, just 2 weapons, of which one may be two-handed No Melta Bombs and Kraks vs infantry, pure CC weapon against tanks. Don't know without looking in the rulebook right now (and that's not where I'm right now) I think it was one medic only. Destroyed... Same for all models that land under 1" to enemy units, land in impassable terrain or fly of the table

"When firing ordnance is it all models touched by the template are hit or the more conventional all and partial on 4+?"
Models completely under the template are hit, models the template is just touching are hit on a 4+
That being said, different game groups use different definitions of "model." Some say the base has to be completely covered by the template, some say the model itself on the base, some say 50% of the base or more and the template is considered as "covering." You mileage may vary with your group.
And to complicate things - that is JUST for Ordnance, flamer templates are different.

You can have more then one medic it says in the codex anyone not armed with a special weapon or a part of a heavy weapon team may be upgraded to a veteran and either given a standard (which you can only have one of) or medic

What are Elaysian troopers.
Is there anyway I can make my droptroopers more accurate? Like a character or special army (like in Wjite Dwarf or some such thing).

I think you can only have one standard but thanks that makes my job easier.

What happens if my drop troop scatter on my own troops?
If I have more than one improved comm can I make more than one re-roll (on separate dice as I will be dropping multiple squads)?

while you technically can have 2 company standards, it would be fairly redundant since you can never reroll a reroll. the regimental standard does the same thing as a company standard and more too, so it's still redundant even if you upped one to a regimental flag. elysians: www.forgeworld.co.uk/acatalog/copy_of_ELYSIAN_DROP_TROOPS.htmlnothing I know of makes your drops more accurate. I would consider friendly models "impassable terrain" meaning you could deepstrike within 1" of them but if you had to put models down where the other unit was, those models would be lost. multiple improved comms = multiple rerolls but again, you can never reroll a reroll
