between painting guard models I've been slowly working on a few other projects (see Inquisitor and Henchmen) and this is my lastest creation for my Orks, still very much WIP

Bionicle was used to make the rokkit rack, and the engine and the rear wheels came from a chinese knockoff transformer toy, the booster came from an old spaceship builder set I had when I was a kid and the gun in front was from a playmates earthworm jim action figure.

yeah I am a little intimidated by the idea of painting this monster.

luckily it isn't too hard to make something look like an Ork painted it.
Spray the whole thing black, add red and boltgun metal details.

the only thing i do not like is the lego pieces are far too obvious

that's true, the lego stuff sorta sticks out,
I'll have to think about how I want to fix that.

you can always add plasticard or greenstuff the pieces in question to hide what they once were.

In the middle of the tank, sticking out of the superstructure - If you are looking for "bricks" you won't find ... it's sum o' that new fangled funky stuff them kids are playing wit dese days!

Nice work ymmot ... Ork conversions are a joy. Back in the day my brother and I created an ork "Kommand-wagon" complete with an ork Kommandant and adjunct standing around a mini w40k board and working on their strategy... it was sweet!
