Hello everybody! Its Subtle Blatancy here, and I've got some questions for the collective mind here on the forums.
You see, in light of a certain rehaul of a game we all know and love, and the new rules book that is to be coming out with this over-haul of the system, I've decided to take my army(s) in slightly different directions than I had previously intended.
While the long and short of it is that I'm going to be collecting two separate armies, to go into too much detail would be to stray wildly from topic. Thats bad.
What this post concerns is the vehicle oriented army. I want my entire army to be vehicles. Now, don't get excited Blitzkrieg-ers, I'm not talking mechanized. I don't mean Armoured Company, I mean Armour Company. Purely tanks, set up using the force organization chart in the first Forge World Book.
Now, I'm not a huge tank-owner going into this project, so I need some assistance. I have no idea how to even begin collecting or painting a portion of a tank company. Any hobby-tips would be cherished like gold over here.
FLUFF STARTS HERE.
The other part of this, though, is some recommendations on the painting. As you may - or may not - know, the Imperial Guard I play is the Carcathan Defense Force. Carcatha, a planet assaulted by Chaos, are desperately waiting for Imperial Assistance, fending off the foul forces of the arch-enemy in their homes and streets. In the initial crushing wave of chaos assault, most of the men, and especially the vehicles, were destroyed.
As such, the integral part of the Carcathan Military in the form of the mighty tank companies was suddenly reduced to practically nill. As a result, the surviving Infantry regard the remaining tanks with the utmost respect. They are the surviving remnants of their former military might, after all.
Seeing the reverence the tanks held to the men, the Tank Commanders and Upper-Command-Echelons slowly allowed soldiers and civilians alike to start Graffiti-ing their vehicles. This made them truly personalized, special, if not grim reminders of the infrequency of the tanks.
FLUFF ENDS HERE
Now that You might have a basic idea, I need some help. I'd like to practically layer all of the tanks under my command with (artistic, not gang) graffiti. Unfortunately for me, I haven't the slightest clue how to go about doing this.
Thus, I come to you, the people of the Imperial Guard Forums, to provide me with some guidance on how to overcome this hardship. Any advice would be excellent. I'll try to post some pictures up if I can come up with any decent examples all my own.
P.S. Sorry for writing so much. I write a lot when I'm in a good mood.
