Always had an idea for a commissar diorama based off a little know military regulation.
the regulation is found in 355-10 and is known as "Forced demasking in a chemical environment." Under it states. The Officer in charge, or highest ranking member of the unit will select the lowest rank individual. This individual will be stripped of their weapon (notice the disarm you first) ordered to go out side of the bunker and to remove their gas mask. If they do not succumb to any dangerous gasses, you will observe them. If after 5 minutes they are still alive, observe for another 5 minutes. If they survive for more than an hour it is safe to remove the gas masks of the rest of the unit.
Now everyone knows that the lowest ranking person in the Air Force is a 2nd Lt. Butter bar right? If not let me explain he is the most likely to qualify since the Air Force has less money tied up in his post as they do in the Airman basic. Besides the Airman Basic has the M-16 and the butter bar only has a Baretta 9mm. Who is going to win that battle?
