hell as you all know i am working on a IG mobile infantry army and i was wondering since, i ammaking my commander out of a kasrkin sargent, how would i make the rest of the hq squade kasrkin? especcially the banner. im planning on making my own banner from a mobile infantry flag picture so ill just need the body and pole. i just need help becaseu the kasrkin squade thats out now gives little room for converting and the shooting poses are kind of stupid, i am well aware of the forgeworld heads but i cant do armor to well for the carpace.
also i am thinking on makeing dropships out of the chimera body with some plasicard and foam board... but waht should i use it as a chimera? but i want it to be able to fly and such and i know chimeras are tanks, im aware of a few forgeworld dropships but im not sure in which one to use and how to legalise it so all gaurdsmen will be able to use one and any other infantry unit would use one... i know its prolly alot of them but it will be well worth it in the long run.

I'm not sure but I thought that all guard infatry with the drop troop doctrine could take a valkyrie transport. Storm troopers and grenadiers can take valkyrie's. Commad squads can take a aquila lander or valkyrie. Also all of them can select another drop ship but I forgot the name, it's used normally for transporting cargo. This was the cheapest (pointwise) but he could not fire at all because it hasn't any weapons.

Do what I do, snip the head off a kasrkin, put it on a guardsman, nobody is gonna notice if hes missing a plate of carapace or two, especially not if they are all painted alike.
It looks good too.

im thining about doing an aquila as a retreival boat for tight situations ans maybe a valkarie or a custom dropship with valkarie stats as the main in to battle trasport, im trying to find a cheap but cool way to do it so its unique but still legal. if i really get into this i may make some sst based scenarios with set army lists for each... like the invasion of klendathu, outpost 39,
capture the brain bug, patrol, you get the idea, btw i made a really awsome custom terantuala today using 2 tank accessories, 2 bolters, a stand, two ammo clips(the ones hvy bolters use) and it looks sweet , its on a hvy weapons base, if i can figure out how this camera works, and how to get picks online to here ill upload one.

btw not to get off topic, are tarantulas controlled by people in ships, because i find it hard to imagine it would be programed to kill an enemy when there unsure who the enemy will be, because i would think if that were the case maybe civilians could get killed or anyone who is not in the units uniform would get killed, jw and i know theres like a machine spirit in 40k but im new so unsure.

no, its run by a machine spirit, or some other similar programming thats designed to recognize key enemy features say specific shoulder pads and shoot at em
