Any suggestions for how to counter the Eldar "fleet of foot" rule in a 300 point CTF, no vehicles of ay sort?

As far as i know, the best counter is to be far away. Or calculate the range, And when they fall short of assault, rip into them with rapid fire.

what I mean to say is that my foot sloggers need to get to the flag before the Eldar do. The bad thing is that the Eldar are so much faster. To worsen the game, I can't use a Chimera!

eldar have armour saves not unlike our own, they are beggin to be heavy boltered or flamed or be shot to pieces with autocannons

Yeah. Either you run, Which leaves you meeting the full force of the eldar at the objective, as you didnt shoot them. Or you shoot them, whilst steadily advancing on the objective, and leapfrogging with heavy weapons

Another ploy that I have used to great advantage was a bait and switch tactic. This basically involves using one unit to bait the Eldar into a move that places them in range of rapid fire by multiple troops.
It is a finesse move, but one that works very well against the Eldar and especially the Harli's. Have yet to meet an Eldar player who doesn't want to get his Harli's into an assault move and not take it. Just remember that Harli's are what we guard use for target practice on the range or at least their armor is made of the same stuff we use for target practice.

What always got me when I was playing my Eldar Army is that I got swamped by loads of unwanted troops when assaulting with Spiders. If you pile in on the Warp Spiders and there are too many to kill you're like a giant pit of non moveable doom! This works with conscripts and deep strikers i beleive - if you can get them close enough.

U could try taking some mortars. Let them take the flag, then hit em with mortars and pray for a pinning test

autocannons, heavy bolters, multilas, anything that nullifies the 5+ armour save. And watch for close combats, if theyre shot at they cant stand a chance. take this advice from a former Eldar player. and watch out for whraithlords.

Ignore their Wraithlords, my advice. Concentrate on the troops and their APCs these days. Wraithlords are pretty and they get a lot of weapons, but it's just one model. Just make sure it never gets into CC with your important squads or stationary vehicles (RAEP!)
