I have decided to make a transport for a Armoured Fist squad, using the Chimera as a base for the rules Armour etc.... I have bought an Ork trukk and am planing to use the engine block, and the driver seat, then some how convert the passenger gun, with a guardsman firing a heavy bolter(turret weapon). I have eough spare parts to convert the back wheels into tank track, and spare parts of the tank sprue to add kit, and guard markings. But I'm wanting the squad to fit in back so I'm needing ideas on how to make the back slightly bigger and more guard, with out it getting to big bulky. So my question to everyone is how to convert this trukk to be more like this transport ?? if anyone has tried this before and wants to post pictures please do, and any ideas would be great thanks.

You definitely wont have a Chimera in the end, more likely you will have a battle-beaten half smashed and mangled transport; but that is not a bad thing... A wheeled, half wrecked transport carries alot of promise for conversions. I hope this turns out well, good luck.

I'd use the old Ork Wartruk personally. It's less banged up, spiky and "Orky" as the newer one. But, seeing as you've already got one, give it a go. It could turn out awsome......
I haven't got much advice other than that I've alrady given I'm afraid...

Maybeif you were to remove the top belly hatch of the chimera and the gun ports, maybe putting in some raised flooring....

I agree, the opened up back end of a chimera would look pretty good if you managed to put them together

Found the camera setting or better pictures, so here's an up date:- gunner and driver front of the the transport, with bolter "turret" any gaps will be getting filled in with green stuff later, and i will be painting the driver putting him in and using plasticard for a armored compartment.

I've already thought about that and a good amount of mud mixture on the wheels when the conversions put together will sort out that

Have just finished my scratch built tracks, and will be starting the rear in the next few days a little tidying up and a bit of equipment from the tank sprue, and they should do the job.

this is the stage i am at now the tracks haven't be glued in to place, but the rest is, and the size seems to be ok (the gunner was drunk on duty, and has been taken out and shot !! another replacement has been assigned) i have to decide whether i make it full enclosed and armored, with opening hatch / ramp at the rear (then build up the armour, like the tank tracks to break up the large areas) or just put on a roof, and build the armour on the side panels, with equipment the top of the roof I'm going to leave doing anymore for a couple of days, so any comments would be helpful (posts or P.M.'s)

That looks better than I thought It would be. I just kinda expected a chimera with bits glued all hesh skesh on it. But I really like it. Oh, and I vote for the canopy one. Looks awesome.!>!
