I was wondering what people thought of using techpriests in conjunction with tanks. Likely as a static firebase.
My thought was to line up three russes with techpriests between them. Maxed out with tech servitors.
Combine that with smoke, extra armor and a bunch of conscripts in front for a cover save. Probably a chimera on either side to block side shots as well.
The odds of losing them should be pretty small given all of that.

they make your tank live longer, they live longer than anny other man in the army(sv3+) and they can kill like bastards if you try, just bad they must be dedicated to theyr task. the servitors do most of the work.

Never actually included a tech priest in my army, their profile isn't good enough I don't think, though gun servitors would make a great firebase if you had several heavy bolters or plasma cannons.

Mr. Socks that is what the honorifica is for. Beefs up the stat line to that of the HSO and you still retain the 3+ armor.

I prefer it on my storm trooper sergeant (its funnier that way), and he gets dropped in, so hes more likely to be in combat.
Though that is a good idea, use all combat servitors and drop him in, then charge, and do some brutal damage =), sounds like a fun time)

Take him with 4 Heavy Bolter servitors, and you've got a home-made Devastator squad, with Bs4!
Erm, I think I may have plagiarized someone for that idea. :-/Sorry in advance.
