Reading the new codex rumours on here literally got me dreaming about the new walkers that maybe in the pipeline.
Just a fun vote on which two set-ups would tempt you most
Ah I can dream
edit - i'd like to clarify that if you havent seen the post, each sentinel could have two weapons, i.e. one sentinel with 2 heavy bolters.

Heavy Bolters would be pretty hot, either those or multilasers. I prefer to put high dice volume but low punch weapons on things like Sentinels. Popping something like a lascannon on it puts it too high on target priority lists. Still, past opponents do tend to ignore the Sentinels..

You can't go wrong with four AC shots. Great range and strength.
Deep Strike sent's in one of your opponents corners and you can take pop shots at his vehicles rear and side armour.

AC them to death! DSing sents with ACs are lethal, just plop em in the rear and take pot shots against the rear armour of a hammerhead, predator, leman russ, or anything short a land-raider or monolith

I'd love to see 2 twinlinked heavy stubbers just for pure fun factor lol. =D. but seriously I'd probably equip them with autocannons just cause they're going to come up against loadsa different foes, and it needs to be ready for them all.

sentails will proably become more of target becuase of this so having them deepstrike two heavy flamers behind some infantry or two lasscannons behind tank could prett god dam cool can't wait for the new dex now should get the new rule book while i'm at it too

I would vote for heavy bolters and autocannons. But I didnt read, so I only voted for autocannons.
The sheer amount of heavy bolter shots would rip through the orks and tau. Which, coincidentally, are my main opponents. And autocannons for sheer punch.

In fifth ed does the rule for duplicate weapons automatically becoming twin linked still exist?
If so the Twin linked Heavy Bolters are going to kick so will the Twin linked heavy flamers.

I would rather it be two Heavy bolters than twin linked. Did a wee bit of a number crunch, and 3 sentinels with twin linked heavy bolters shooting at a squad of T4 orcs with a save of 4+ will cause 2.815 wounds per turn. A squad of 3 sentinels of heavy bolters non linked at the same squad will cause 3.75 wounds per turn. Of course, The numbers could be a bit off.

the Heavy Flamers are the shiznizles and frankly any time that I can hook heavy bolters to a sentinal)since we couldn't in the last book) I 'm totaly there.
