i wont cover the whole report as that would take too long, but i will cover the highlights
turn 1
1. his whirlwind firing at a dsing vet squad and landing on his own men that were about to charge
2. my 4 hbs and 2 ACs killing only 1 marine
3. concentrated krak missile fire destroying the vindicator's main gun
4. my men scatterting only 1 or 2 inches, if at all
turn 2
1. a HW squad firing at his chaplain, doing nothing, and their loaders killing said chaplain with their flashlights
2. his teleporting termies cutting through my ratling squad, their cover saves were great, but they werent able to survive 14 storm bolter shots
3. the missile launchers fire their krak missiles onto an assault marine squad near my mortars and kill only 1 of them
4. the mortars successfully killing his lone captain
5. his scout squad firing its krak missile into a sentinel squad that just came into play, exploding it, and taking 2 marines with it
turn 3
1. pretty much everything was a standstill
2. the sents poping the predator's rear armour being the only true kill
turn 4
1. my vets with 3 meltas manage to get within 12 in of his venerable dreadnought, scoring 1 penetrating hit, and rolling a 1, BUT since vens make you re-roll the dice and force you to accept the 2nd result, i was able to roll a six
2. the termie squad that cut down all but 2 of my ratlings decides to assault them, losing 1 of their own but subsequently pounding them into a fine red mist
3. the fire support squads FINALY prove their worth by cutting down the termie squad and reducing it to 2 men, wich the krak missiles promptly finish off after he rolled snake eyes
4. his devastators killing sentinel squadron no. 1 after throwing 3 las cannons at it
turn 5
1. his army was in tatters, his captian dead, vehicles rendered useless, termies gone, assault squad massacarred after the mortars got REALLY luck in shooting and in CC when he rolled a comical ammount of 1s, the only things he had left were the whirlwind, the devastators, and a handful of tac marines. he conceded victory to me
result: major victory as i still had 3.5 inf squads left, an intact sent squad, 2 intact command squads, 3 intact HW squads and 1.6 vet squads
