Woohoo! My first game in months!
My new krieltans vs renegade ultramarines. We just played with what we had,, i guess i had around 1900 pts and he had around 1500, i'm not sure.
There were 4 objectives, he had 2 drop pods in his deployment zone and i have a sunken rhino and a bunch of craters.
Here are the lists-
The krieltan 12th (chem inhalers, hardened fighters, close order drill, independant commissars)-
Command squad-
H.S.O w power weapon, storm bolter, carapace, meltabombs, frag grenades.
4 veterans w laspistols chainswords and carapace including 1 medic and 1 standard bearer
Mortar support squad
lascannon support squad
3 independant commissars, 2 with powerfist, bolt pistols and carapace, 1 with plasma pistol, power weapon and carapace
Platton A (all with hardened fighters and chem inhalers)
J.O w power fist
2 plasma gunners and 2 medics
squad A1 with vet sgt, meltagun and missle launcher
squad A2 with vet sgt, plasmagun and heavy bolter
Platoon B (all with hardened fighhters and chem inhalers)
J.O w power fist
3 vets w lasguns, 1 grenade launcher
squad B1 with vet sgt, grenade launcher and missle launcher

Deployment-
I set up B platoon to guard the left flank and the lake objective, A platoon held the right. my leeman russ and 1 hellhound also had the left where my demolisher and other hellhound covered the right. My lascannons and mortars deployed near or on top of the craters. My sentinals stood ready to charge at any tanks that came near (one is broken so i just layed it on its base), my command squad stood behind my line, ready to counter any attact on my lines. His command squad and cassius are hidden behind the drop pod on the right. The scouts are sitting on the objective on the left.
The ultramarine player won the first turn.
Deployment-
Mid SM turn 1-
The hellhound on the right has had its inferno cannon taken off.
End of turn 1-
Key points-
-The drop pod lands slap bang between my lascannons and command squad, the vet sgt of the tactical marines kills himself with his plasma pistol, the other marine unload theit bolters into the command squad, leaving only the commissar with one wound left and the H.S.O.
-The hellhound has its inferno cannon destroyed by a krak missile.
-Heavy fire from the infantry platoons, lascannon teams and mortars cut down many tactical and assault marines.
-My sentinals charge the landraider, destroying it in a spectacular fireball that almost killed a nearby scout with their lascannons. I love the smell of cooked landraider in the morning! ;D
The drop pod assault-
turn 2-
The assault marine sgt guns his jump pack to assault A platoon-
Key points-
-The assault marine sergeant charges into the remainants of squad A1, but before he raised his powerfist he was struck down by the 4 guardsmen. One word: OWNED!
-Any remaining firepower is directed towards killing the tactical marines holding the right drop pod.
-The terminators continue to the lake, the russ tries to kill some but their armour takes the worse of it.
The all bolter tactical marines fire on the lascannon teams, killing 2 loaders.
turn 3-
Mid turn 3-
Key points-
-The Terminators continue to the sunken rhino now joined by cassius, B platoon move into the murky water, ready to put up whatever resistance they could put up.
-Colonel Stielkrugn charges the tactical marines inside the krieltan lines, he disapoints as he causes no wounds on the marines.
-A platoon command squad charge the tactical marines threatening to contest the crater objective, they take no wounds but completely SLAUGHTER THEM with bayonet, power fist and weapons.
-The marines near the right drop pod take more casualties from the imperial guard gunline, now the demolisher joins the barrage, also killing the vet sgt from the command squad.
-The mortars start firing at the scouts, killing 2.
-The russ continues to try and take down the termies but once again, it fails to kill any.

turn 4-
The last turn of the game gets very competative with both sides scrambling to grab objectives.
Key points-
-The colonel again causes no wounds, but takes 3 in return, he fails all his saves and is struck down.
-In the guard turn the hellhound tries to tank shock the marines but they move out the way, in the shooting phase it fires its inferno cannon at the tactical marines, hoping to avenge their commanding officer, killing 1 marine.
-Squad A2 and the 4 remaining guardsmen of A1 make a do or die charge at the drop pod on the right flank, forgoeing their shooting to run and contest the objective.
-The terminators charge B's command squad, killing every one of them, they consolidate into the infantry squad.
-Aa's command squad stay with the craters, to keep the objective.
B platoon holds fast against the terminator onslaught-
The hellhound exacts its vengence-
The crater remainst firmly in krieltan hands-
A platoon charges towards the drop pod objective, VICTORY OR DEATH!-
The scouts still hold the drop pod on the left flank.
In the end we decided to roll off for the contested objectives, i loose both. The renegade marines just manage a 3-1 win. The colonel lies wounded on the ground, as the traitors fall back, the guardsmen see about picking up the peices...
