I used 2 psykers during my last battle with some friends. Luckily I rolled a 6 so the power was nice. Though my question now is: after the leadership roll (cant recall the name for using the psykic ability) do I also have to do a hit roll or is it then an automatic hit?

The thing about psykers in apoc. battles is that if you use all 5 (or more) of them, you can allocate each one to where you want:
I.e The one with the Hon. Imperialis and force weapons goes with the platoon command squad in the front lines
The one who rolled 'Machine curse' goes with the deepstriking tank hunters
The one with the leadership bubble naturally goes with the supreme HQ
The one with lightning arc goes on the front lines as well
Psychic lash can go with anyone who might wind up in close combat.
And psychic ward is just used defensively.

I always hated rolling for my power...it makes it suck when you're fighting tyranids and you roll machine curse! gaaaah!!!

Yeah, and if they're gonna make us buy our sanctioned psyker's powers, then they better become at least twice as strong as they are now...mean come on folks: would a lightning bolt from hell really on be S3 and have no AP? Rediculous...
