I just got the greatest idea ever for an infantry guard army! Listen to this:
A Star Wars Clone equivalent! White armor, blue squad markings, armor that doesn't protect them at all (heeehee, flak armor!) and massive numbers! My kasrkins would be like arc troopers, and my commissars would be like my jedi or sith or whatever (don't know much about starwars, but I own the movies)
What do you guys think?

Why the hell not? Itd make a great themed army, and the conversion possibilities would be good Think of the walkers you could make ;D

yeah like those things that they call chicken walkers! My leman russ tanks could be At-At's. Maybe a sanctioned psyker could be like a sith dude who shoots force lighting (lightning arc pysker power!) with a force weapon as his lightsaber!

It would have to be a side project from my Aeonians, or maybe a bolster to my elite army in Apocalypse!

Leman Russes as AT-ATs?! Bit of an over-statement about their power, they'd be better off as those sabre tanks from Battlefront. Youre making a lot of ambitious conversion ideas in here - I like your style!

Leman Russ>AT-AT.
Why?
Well firstly, the Leman Russ has a gun. The AT-AT has two womanly lasers. The Russ gun can wipe out tanks, infantry or fortifications with ridiculous ease, and rarely misses. The same cannot be said for the AT-AT lasers, which have a limited blast radius and an absurd recharge time.
As for surivability: The Russ is approximately 3 and a half metres tall. This makes it tall, but it still has a much lower silohette than the AT AT, which is so tall that ICMBs use direct fire against it. Therefore the Russ beats the AT-AT.
Thirdly, the Russ is a tank, and the AT-AT a walker. Who else uses walkers? (aside from noble guardsmen, who are exempt from scorn).
Eldar. Tau. Marines.
In short, all the strange and brightly-coloured races of 40K.

Anyway sounds like a good idea aeonian.
Hope this isn't going to turn into a 40k vs StarWars debate.

Yeah, I'll keep trying to do it. I just need to master the ability to do white armor.
@rt: what I meant by it as an At-AT, it would be the clone equivelent, with shorter legs, so short indeed that it just looks like a walker. It would be my own conversion, but have the clone soldier colours.
well, here I go!!!

Here's the doctrines I'd use:
iron discipline storm troopers grenadiers drop troops sanctioned psykers

It is pretty much a shorter, six legged, clone era version of the AT-AT. It has a big turrent on top, a back gun, a quad lazer type thing in the front, and carries troops. I still don't see how the AT-AT is an improvement.

Yeah, the AT-TE is more like a Leman russ, but without the transport capabilities.

This sound really cool. I'm liking, keep us updated as to what you do.
I think the Sentinels would make great AT-STs(chickenwalkers)!

I still don't see how the AT-AT is an improvement. The AT-AT is a big improvement of the AT-TE... First of all it has troop carry capacities and those aren't even small. And the distance the AT-AT will blast your units is far beyond from where you can fire back. Remember Hoth. The Rebels just spotted them on the edge of the North Ridge when they started firing! Those 2 tiny lasers with long recharge time are only reloading for long when they fire with maximum power. The Atgar Laser Turrets (those satellite look likes) can't even hurt them, while they would blast a AT-TE into pieces. The AT-AT has anti-infantry and anti-air lasercannons that can rapid fire. The only effective way to kill them are the towing cables and even that is dangerous for the speeder pilots as they have to circle closely around the legs and that can end with crashing in the legs and would only destroy the speeder but not even scratch the AT-AT. And btw the AT-TE is 4 legged as well, but much smaller than the AT-AT. Sentinals are more like AT-PTs and not like AT-STs
