1800pt game with 3 objectives
1 objective in the middle
1 in the Grey Knights left corner
1 in the middle left side
My list
IG:
Doctrines: Camoline, Light Infantry, Harden Fighters, Chem-inhalers, and Veterans
Command Platoon with Heroic Senior Officer w/ plasma pistol and power sword, plasma gun, medic, standard bearer w/ plasma pistol and cc weapon, and master vox
Commisar: Power sword and plasma pistol
Infantry Platoon:
Command Squad w/ Junior Officer w/ plasma pistol and power sword, and 2 meltaguns
2 Infantry Squads w/ vox, grenade launchers, and mortars
1 Infnatry Squad w/ vox, plasma gun, and missle launcher
Infantry Platoon:
Command squad w/ bolt pistol and powerfist and 2 meltaguns
2 Infantry Squads w/ vox, grenade launcher, and autocannon
1 Infantry Squad w/ vox, plasma gun, and a sniper rifle
Inquisitor Lord w/ bolt pistol and force weapon
3 Acolyte w/ bolter
2 Sages
1 Warrior w/ hellpistol & ccw
1 Warrior w/ plasma gun
1 Hierophant
Using my LI I infiltrated troops to both objectives and dug in. Grey knights advance and I take pot shots at them with what I have in range. My opponent uses an assault squad to try to contest the center objectives. I basically refuse to let him contest the objective without a fight and a commit around 30 guardsmen and my Inquisitor to hand to hand combat in the center. Basically the enemy keeps advancing more and more men into the center but I hold using overwhelming numbers and fanatical devotion to hte Emperor
On turn 4 the enemy tries to contest the objective I control with a 5 man squad of marines and a squad of stormtroopers. THe stormtroopers are beaten back by literally a 4 man banzai charge (banzai charge in the truest sense of the phrase the stormtroopers were about to overrun the objective) After the stormtroopers ran literally 1/3 of the board away form the fighting the marine squad died in one turn of very good shooting.
In the end I won by drowning out of opponent under a wave of bayonet wielding men with some lucky rolls for me and bad rolls for my opponent
Highlight of the game: It was the 1st time I used the hierophant and on her first turn of combat ever she killed a marine with 1 hit and was shot at by a squad of marines and not a single shot hit the Inquisition retinue. That miniature must be blessed or soemthing
