Simple, "Colonel Commissar Hawkrin" or "Col. Hawkrin" or Hawkrin for short is the name of The Current leader of the 5th terrax guard Regiment. (P.S. It was also my nickname in Halo LAN parties with my friends before the name of the Terrax guard CO. I really liked it so there you go a breif history of Hawkrin check the fluff if you would like to know more.) commissar.proboards22.com/index.cgi?board=one&action=display&thread=1161797312

I originally started off as 'me' (mainly because I couldn't think of anything better) but then I had a few "complaints" about how confusing it was to talk to me while mentioning my name (me) so i decided to be nice and put in the name i am know as on another forum (i would have been me there too but they already had a me), Goddess of Darkness. There is no real story behind it, just happened to pop into mind at the time I was going through my chaosy rebellion.
the best bit it is...it was pointed out to me that my initals are GoD.

Mine's the guitarist of Avenged Sevenfold's first name. Not to mention it sounds fairly dark and gothic

in japanese culture the turtle is a sign of wisdom because it sees both worlds, what exists underwater, and what exists above the waterline. when my dad lived in japan after ww2 with my grandpa and grandma, all the japanese kids called him the turtle. I kinda understand this too because I've wandered off deep into more sides to reality than anyone reallly needs to ever see so I kinda see the world with a more knowing pair of eyes. I also kinda look like the loony toons turtle character that has really bad posture, with his head all sticking out and the dopey look on his face - I've been told I resemble that in real life on more than one occasion also when I was travelling around with the gypsy caravans years back, one of the pretty mamas gave me the nickname 'turkle' which she explained 'it's like how a kid says turtle.'

That's really neat, Turtleboy! My forum name comes from the name of my DIY Space Marines - Fire Storm Chapter; I also at one point wanted to put a website together with pics of my miniatures on it called 'firestorm40k.com'; but I've put that on a very far back-burner, lol! ;D

A few years ago when I first got into the internet I played diablo2. WHen I was making my first chravter I wanted him to hav e the name 'StarWolf', but that was taken, so I am now 'starwoof'. It has grown into its own entity though, and no longer involves starfox games.

for some reason your forum name fits your pic better than anyone else on the boards starwoof. when I thought 'what would starwoof actually look like' then saw your pic I just laughed and said 'yup..that.'

grisnik.. it was my original name for my first orc warboss mmm 10+ yrs ago.. and i have used it for literally everything since.. MMOs, RPGs, forums, alias, etc.. i dont think it will change anytime soon either.. and the best part is that i have rarely seen it used before in anything else so it usually means it is free for me to use on everything.. and the short term gris works too since i never shave unless i have to..

No big story behind my nick. Just came someday when I was playing a RPG with friends and I was always doing too much good, suddenly one of my friends wondered if I was playing some knight or so (actually I was playing some scoundrel). Later I used it on lans and another bit later it developed as the codename "Dark Knight, Lord of the Night" former captain of the 13. Night Lords. I never looked for some more creative nick, so I'm still stuck with it
