^Yeah on a paved road maybe... Really though they probably go faster we are just not allowed to know really how fast they go. My guess on a leopard is 80mph.

50MPH, but if it ever goes anywhere near that speed it's going to hit a mine, or an AP shell, or just a sodding ditch....and then it'll be nothing more than hot, burning metal and disorganised flesh.

A seventy-ton vehicle cannot maneuvere at 50MPH in a 'careful' fashion. And there is no such thing as safe ground in war.

Yes there is. Ever seen a tank destroyed in a disney land? Thought so.

Well, if your going by the ruels for the game then you do go pretty fast compared to "fast" vehicles.
A fast jeep syle orc trukk will go 12" battle speed 18" cruizing speed and 24" on a road.
A fast Skimmer will go 12" battle speed and 18" cruizing speed with no benifit from roads
A chimera or most "standard" tanks will go 6" battle speed and 12" cruizing speed and 18" on a road
So all in all we are not all that slow, just on a road is where we "shine" as far as speed is concerned. That being said the 18" road movment is probably similar to how the tanks moved across the Iraqi desert in my mind. You move at a decent speed, but not all out speed (you do have people inside and a supply caravan to keep protected) covering the distance quickly with minimal effort on your troops endurance. To say that my tank can hit 50mph in the scheme of 40K would be crazy for the tabletop game.

Yeah. If the Americans had moved at full speed, they would have become immobilised and the Iraqis would have had them

Skimmers can't use roads, either.
