Hey all, just wanted some info on the status of the good ol' Death Korps in the upcoming codex revision. Now I've heard that they may be redoing many of the old regiments in plastic, but these are nothing more then rumors of course. I just gotta know: is it for real?!? Plastic, in-store DKoK?!!?! If so, I know where my year's salary is going!... Forgeworld models are EXPLETIVE-DELETED-ly great, but I can't justify spending that much on 'em.

Well there was rumors about greatcoats on guardsmen but the only one i've seen is the one on the new cadian officer. I don't think its true though.

Nope, no plastic DKoK. Like Elysian there will NOT be any models made by GW. There are also no new greatcoats coming out in the near future... the greatcoat rumors have been around since before the Cadians were plastic. So I am sorry to say, FW has you by the dogtags if you want DKoK.

Mars has got it right. We won't be seeing any DKoK from GW. That said, since doctrines are being dropped, I imagine we'll be seeing an update for the old list, with the same for the Elysians.

Death Korps of Krieg, I'd imagine you'll purchase the hardened fighters upgrade and an appropriate morale upgrade for them. I can't see GW screwing people with themed armies by removing those two docs.
Hell, It would be cool if they added a furious charge doctrine. That would really emphasise the way the Death Korps infantry fights- by sweeping all before them with an unstoppable bayonet charge.

Or dying on the barbed wire in huge numbers..... But yeah, I would like a Furious Charge option. Maybe one for Stubborn too. Reds

One thing to remember is that FW can still put out an update for v5 IG dex... and then we can still play our armies. I would not be surprised if they already have those new lists in the work. DKoK is one of the BEST sellers for FW, they will not let their baby fall to the wayside, in my Humble opinion...

Rule one Mars: On this forum, your opinion is never humble. Humility was discarded back in 2007, when we started having guardsmen kill space smurfs with a well-placed bayonet.

Oorah!
And yes, about what our amazing leader RT said above earlier, it would really hurt GW to get rid of some of the more costly doctrines. People buy DKoK for the siege stuff, and the close combat greatness, so if they got rid of that, many folks would be upset. I know another person who's gonna get urined off if warrior weapons are gone... *stares at the man in pink*

meh. If I do get kicked out of college, I'm going to apply for an assisstant Managers position. 50% off GW and a small discount from FW MY Guard would be so cheap to do
