Hi Guys,
today i read another authoritative thread on the new IG codex and after much deliberation, I decided I'm Fed up of hearing it all.
GW are always good at disinformation and loads of what i hear from authoritative sources seems to contradict itself,
so i had a thought the new codex if it is to be released on may 2nd, must be finished as it would have to translated into Spanish,French and German at least as well as English, and that takes time, to make sure nothing is lost in translation. probably a couple of weeks, then it has to be sent to the print works that have to be set up and the practice run and final edit/proof run again probably a week or so, and then the main run done again a week or two depending on the quantity of the 1st run, then binding and packing again a few days.
then loaded onto ships and trucks to get its world wide distribution, again a couple of weeks if its going by ship and truck.
so i suppose it must be either @ the printers now or already finished and parked in a warehouse in Nottingham.
does any one see a flaw in my logic i appreciate time frames are only guesstimates but from other production lines I've worked on it seems about right. any got any thoughts?

I do understand where you come from... but you need to look at the "rumor" threads like you would if you went to a website any any upcoming movie. Some things get leaked and get out and then we find out it was the pre-alpha copy of that rulebook... there was that issue with the 5th Ed. Rulebook last year.
So yes, the fact that the book is done and sitting somewhere, waiting to be read by the masses. I myself am dying to get my hands on it, like every other member of this Forum. But, like i said i said before, its like waiting to see the Watchmen at 11:59 on Thursday night, just have to wait for the release.

Rumor: (noun); A piece of information of questionable accuracy, from no known reliable source, usually spread by word of mouth.
Request thread lock and/or deletion for BAWWWW bordering on heresy.

Spreading rumours about whats in the next codex gets everyone interested, so we all just can't wait to rush out and buy it. It's all part of the hype.
But GW have to be careful about distributing them too early because they know that someone will scan it and put it up on the net. The 5th ed rule book was out in PDF weeks before it was released.
