Has anyone heard anything about this hero? It sounds like the drill instructor from Full Metal Jacket. I would be super pumped if we finally got a hero unit like that guy!

All that I know is that he is 'Catachan Devil Gunnery Sergeant Harker'. From the old Catachan 'dex a Catachan Devil Squad is like a normal Veteran Squad, that were able to ambush. So to me sounds like an Upgrade Character for the Veteran Squad.

In full Metal Jacket it was Gunnery Sergent Hartman!! "I've never seen a nuts that high!!"
It may be a kind of a colonel Straken's lads from 2nd Catachan regiment..

He is S, WS, BS 4, Feel No Pain, Relentless and a heavy bolter. He is an upgrade for a veteran squad.

Nice! Probably something along the lines of Sergeant Tellion for SM Scouts - support character.
Looks like the Catachans are back in the spotlights. I was thinking about starting a thread on those ladz and the new codex but I think I might as well do that here.
Do you think the Jungle Fighters are going to be more appealing in this new edition of the Guard's dex? Would you consider playing them with the new rules? I am...

That would be really awesome if they actually got some benefits over regular guardsmen

For some reason, I remember 40k Radio saying something about how you could play different styled regiments, with different abilities, and the Catechan and Cadians were mentioned.

He also gives the Veteran Squad he's with Infiltrate, Stealth, and Move through Cover. It should be possible to turn him and his Squad into a major pain in someone else's neck.
