***edit*** this is turtleboy - I deleted syphons post, the reason is explained below - the result is that this post won't make much sense, but please enjoy the holiday, use this thread as it was intended - to celebrate the US independence day, and have a happy 4th. thanks
***/edit***
you know syphon, if you really don't like america or one of our holidays you don't need to post.I think that is pretty disrespectful to me and the other vets that have fought for our countries be they American or any other country.
trooper249 is trying to be nice,i think what he said was done well and i appreciate it.
I would like an appology from you.

I will humbly request that differences be settled somewhere else, this topic is a 'happy holidays' and I'd be sad to see it marred with argument. in the spirit of maintaining the integrity of this threads 'on topic-ness' (something rare in these forums I know ) I've deleted syphons post for the reason that it was a one word post. those who have habits of making one word posts recently were warned about doing so and all of us lesser mods were given the green light to clean out any one word posts we found. seems like a perfectly reasonable excuse to clean this thread up a bit and put it back on track. so! happy fourth to all, I hope you BBQ some steaks or something scrumptious like that and enjoy a great fireworks show, be it lit by your own hand or done by the hand of a crew of pros who are entertaining the crowd. may the drinks stay cold and your love one be close enough to keep you warm. for all those overseas, may you find your way home soon, we are proud of you, and respect your courage and bravery. this isn't just lip service either, I know that sometimes a young man wants war but finds hell instead and it takes much courage and bravery to endure it and come home again. to the veterans who have done this, I salute your ability to become normal people again and get on with a regular life. a special thanks to france, because without them we never would have become the USA. to the people who aren't fans of the US right now, I remind you that we're a democracy and every 4 or 8 years our government leaders are changed either by popular vote or by mandatory term limits. if you dislike the policies of the US then I remind you that in a couple years the policy maker will be a completely new person and you may find the US to be a country that inspires respect from the rest of the world community. we're not the president, we are the people, so if you don't like the president, please don't automatically dislike us as a people; we change who is our president if it is for the good of us all as a whole. God bless you all, have a happy fourth, and 'ave sum fun you 'umies!
