A little something from BOLS- Leman Russ Demolisher: All plastic kit can build a Demolisher, Punisher or Executioner. New turret. New hull weapons, new sponsons, new hull accessories.
Hellhound: All plastic kit can build a Hellhound, Devil Dog or Bane Wolf. New turret, new hull details, internal fuel tank (partially exposed so visible from the top).

Excellent!
Does anybody know if we'll be seeing the new artillery kits with the Basilisk?

I've not heard anything about new artillery, it'll probably be late this year if it does come out. Has anyone else heard anything about 1.5 wave plastic rough riders???

Ooooooh...plastic rough riders is what I am looking forward to, for sure! I've decided I want to use them for my Voltians (a desert style unit, you'll read in the Guide to Regimental Design thread...). I can't wait! Hope it's true! I really want to test of Moghul Kamir Wotshisface!

Yeah i know I've been hearing rumors from all over the net about plastic RRs its just people are unsure about when they're coming. Some are saying in a 1.5 wave around the time of Planetstrike others say 3rd wave at the end of the year and still others say next year! its a bit broken but with the Moghul Khamir Special character it looks more and more likely.

sorry Jaxafett the new RRs are almost certainly going to be horses, Moghul khamir is their SC and he has a horse. But seriously feel free to convert your own!

I don't know what everyone seems to hate about our cavalry.... I mean sure bikes get turbo boost and +1 Toughness, but the horses have fleet, and can safely benefit from cover, and I mean c'mon, how totally bad ass must you be to ride a horse into a battle in the 40th millenium? I'd be afraid of 'em.....

yeah! GO you Dragoon you must be hard to do that! *shudders at mental images of charge of the light brigade* but seriously cavalry are awesome they can move and assault potentially any unit within 24" with a good fleet roll of couse

Wrong. 18" because you move 6", hopefully fleet another 6", and then charge 6"

Why does everyone mention the "charge of the light brigade"? All you needed to do in our old codex was give the RR carapace armour and it became the "Charge of the Heavy Brigade" and if you've actually read both poems you realize the heavy brigade pretty much routed the russians with 3 guys on horses ;D

I for one play bretonnians one the side. I can't tell you how cheap and effective it is ( compared to metals) to buy a box of Knights and a a squad box to build Rough Riders. Couple this with the fact that the lance wielding RR has actually dropped in total cost ( gasp) I can see this being just ungodly vs. heavy infantry (which includes MEQ). NO matter what your opponanat has, these guys have a good use. There's always SOMETHING that needs a good S5 power pike up the rectum..... I will be including these in some of my lists. particularly those that include Ogryns in Chimeras. ( He who says guard can't assault, is doing it wrong.)

I want to see RRs on scramblers. It'd fit the bill really, not as fast as the mahusive ones the smurfs get, but they'd be able to drive around woods and whatnot.
In regards to the charge of the light brigade: Any mental images of them all being cut down are pretty much wrong, casualties weren't as bad as you'd expect from the 600 men it was like 200 guys and horses - and then the heavy brigade went in and took the objective.

Indeed and yes Scramblers is what most people want, not what we're gonna get, but definitely what people want ;D I've seen some awesome conversions too, the only thing i don't like about em' is they're mostly kit bashed from left over bits and i'm not gonna buy a land raider just so i can get a specific size wheel substitute ;D

The medal is crafted of ceramite, cased in mithril, and stained red with the blood of eldar. EDIT: I killed that eldar myself with my very own broadsword (my new regiment's trademark weapons, as it seems everyone wants me to convert a damned scottish regiment! )
